Naruto was staring out on the outside world from the window in his small apartment. It was late in the afternoon, yet the world seemed dark. Outside rain was pouring down as abruntly as sake would for a ninja cooming home from a mission.

Naruto sad pondering about every little thing. Did sake really taste that good? He had tried it, well of course he was a jounin, so something had to push the bad memories of assasinations away. There was something about killing that wasn't appealing to him. If he was given a chance he would by all means avoid it.

He looked at the tree not far from his window, as he wacthed the new grown leaves from this spring, as the rain was pounding onto them, weighting the leaves down, untill finally a drop of rain, slipped by the tip.

He closed his eyes for a second, pondering over the feelings of his body. A few places there was pain, but his whole body could be described with one word. Restless. The orders from the doktors aka Sakura and the rain preventing him from training.

He stood up from where he had sat on his bed, and walked over by his door. He slipped his sandals on and went out of the door. He walked through the rain, feeling more depressed by the step. Rainy days were not something he sought after, he was afterall a ball of sunshine.

Suddenly he stopped. He had reached the far outskirts of the village, and was by the traininggrounds. Before him was a balckstone, the monument of all the ninjas that had died in duty. A proof of the bravery, the will of fire of his village.

Suddenly something stung his eyes from inside, and salty water meet rain. No sobs or hiccups were heard as he stepped closer to the stone, the black colour of the stone shining, though no light was cast on it. Naruto felt as if the stones colour had come from being tainted by the lives that had been taken from the names on the stone.

As he stepped closer a pang of guilt was hitting Naruto like a kunai in the heart as he read the name he had been eyeing the whole time. "Sasuke Uchiha" He started shivering from the rain, soaking him to the bone. Not knowing a certain pinkhaired Kunoichi was watching him from afar, safe from the rain under her umbrella.

The next day

"Ha-ha-HACHUUU!" Naruto sneezed as his head jerked back and landed him on his pillow. "Mataku*! How did you go and get yourself a cold huh?" Sakura said louder than Naruto would have liked her to, his head was aching.

She lifted the termometer out of his mouth and read 103 fahrenheit. "Looks like you must've spend too much time in the rain yesterday, how ironic today it's such good weather, but with this cold you aint going nowhere."

With Sakura's last statement, Naruto burried himself under his blankets, moaning a complaint of some sort.

Mataku – honestly, or "you're killing me"
