the phone's LCD had lit up again simultaneously, a ring had followed. the phone rang for an entire five minutes until it stopped. the phone stayed still flashing the same number that had been calling ever since.
Yui just stared at her phone, too appalled and annoyed to speak. This was the fifth call and she did'nt answer. Her emotions were telling her to forget all the crap and answer the goddamned phone. But her senses would always take over to help her remind herself all the crap she has to to deal and justify. This is so hard for her. She returned to recline upon her bed. Tears started spilling from her blank eyes. She was so blank, the pain was so unbearable. It made her very weak. This is so unfair. She grabbed her phone off finally.
Hoping she'll wake up to find herself in another lifetime.
' I see your face in my mind as I drive away..'
Yui stared up, wide-awake in bed. She could see tiny cracks all across her wide ceiling. She turned to her digital clock. It was 6 in the morning and she really want to sleep more longer. There was no sun yet. The rays that usually spilled between her venetian blinds were'nt there to make her smile. Yet still, she managed to smile sadly. The weathers cooperating with her sorrow.
' Cause none of us thought it was gonna end that way...'
Yui stood up and felt the coolness as her feet stepped unto the carpeted floor. She walked slowly towards her window, thugged the handle bar downward to push the blinds away. The sly was grey and cloudy. A usual description of a gloomy day. She surveyed the road.
' people are people and sometimes we changed our minds,,,'
Yui stared beyond the quiet road across the tiny house infront of theirs. All the windows were closed. All the lights were turned off. The house had the eerie stillness that can qualify to a haunted mansion. The sharp pang had made its way to her vulnerable chest again making her breathe harshly and unevenly. The cries had filled her once more.
Nothing was living anymore.
' But its killing me to see you go after all this time..'
She sniffed and blew her nose in the handkerchief loudly. Tears were starting to form but she dared held it up.
" Ow, C'mon.. its only a stupid movie..!" The boy sitting beside her guffawed as she blew her nose once more.
"Shu--shut-up...!" She wailed as she witnesses the bittersweet ending on the television set. He chuckled softly as he draped his arm casually on her shoulders. She snugggled closer to his comforting form, taking in the warmth radiating from him.
" It;s not that bad, Yui-chan.." The boy softly whispered in her ear as she sniffed.
" You just don't feel anything...!" Yui retorted as she started to break down. The movie had really touched her heart.
"Ow...I'm sorry, sweetie.." The boy had pulled her more closer that her cheek was against his sturdy chest . He ignored her loud wails as he stroked her back over and over again.
'Music starts playing like in the end of a sad movie..'
