Author's Note: Recently, I did a poll, and Troyella won by a landslide. When I do Troyella, it comes out all cheesy. But, I hope you enjoy this small one-shot made by me. Enjoy, and happy reading!
Chapter One: Songs About Rain
Of course, it had to rain.
Gabriella Montez could hear the rain pounding on the roof of Troy Bolton's truck, which half the time doesn't work, and when it doesn't, she found it funny that he could lose his temper over a silly thing such as his car not working.
But, she loved him when he got mad.
She found it extremely cute.
"Man, it's really coming down hard." Troy commented as his windshield wipers went in a frenzy, and Gabriella nodded as she looked out the window.
Troy was bringing her home after watching a movie marathon over at the Bolton household, and while she wanted to stay longer, her mother would have a fit if she wasn't home.
The radio was playing country songs, and the familiar tune of Taylor Swift's Fearless came on, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Troy smiling.
Finally, Gabriella pulled away from the window to look at him.
"Why are you smiling?" she asked, and Troy pointed to the radio.
"There are so many songs about rain." he stated.
"You mean, there are so many country songs about rain." she corrected him, and Troy nodded at her statement.
"Yeah. That's what I ment." Troy explained, and Gabriella giggled.
Rain contuined to pour on the roof of the truck, and Gabriella gazed out the window again.
They were almost to her house: just a few more blocks.
Suddenly, the car made a terrible noise, and Troy slumped in his seat.
"Don't tell me my car stopped again!"
Gabriella grinned, and Troy sighed as he looked at her.
"I'm just going to check it out. Don't go anywhere."
"I won't." Gabriella replied, and Troy nodded as he got out of the car, and she looked on as Troy lifted up the hood, and she was surprised to see smoke raising out of the truck.
She placed her hand over her mouth, and a few minutes later, she heard Troy opening the truck door.
"So, does it look bad?" she asked, and Troy nodded.
"I might have to call someone..."
"Well, I can just walk...we're not too far from my house." Gabriella commented, and Troy looked at her.
"I'm not letting you walk home by yourself. I'll go with you."
Gabriella nodded, and she got out of the trucjk, and rain started to pour on her head.
She sherieked in laughter, and Troy ran over to her, grinning.
"See? It's coming down hard."
She remembered another day it had rained, and it was before school, and Troy and her were dancing.
As they walked towards Gabriella's house, Gabriella felt Troy take a hold of her hand, and she smiled as she looked at him.
"Have you ever kissed in the rain before, Troy?"
Troy chuckled as he relived a certain memory.
"Actually, I remember kissing you while the sprinklers went off."
Gabriella giggled.
"But, I remember kissing you in the rain. It was after the Razzle Dazzle talent show, and everyone was outside."
Troy stopped walking, and looked at her.
"Well, if you claim that when we first kissed, it was in the rain. Then this'll be your second kiss in the rain."
Gabriella stopped walking, and looked on as she watched Troy's face getting closer to hers, and finally, their lips touching.
And the romantic part?
Rain was falling down.
