A/N: Sookie/Eric is who I love. The only pairing I will write from True Blood. Please know, that I love HEA, but this will have angst. LOL I warned you.

All mistakes are my own.

I do not own TB, otherwise, we all know how it would've ended.

Full Synopsis: Sookie and Eric had been together for ten years. She was a fae, and she found out that due to her bonding to Eric, she became immortal. Her bonding even made Eric feel the sun again, as well as his children. He was now one of the most powerful vampires kings in North America, due to being with Sookie. Power got to his head, and he pushed Sookie away. But no more. Sookie couldn't be second any longer. Would Eric realize his mistakes before it was too late?

….

Sookie was at yet another dinner.

Her husband, Eric Northman, had just acquired the entire eastern seaboard. The former king was caught in illegal activity resulting in his death, and it was no contest, who the kingdom should go to:

Eric Northman.

He was fair, and above all, never used sadistic measures to force leadership. When he was Sheriff, he was force to be under both Queen Sophie, and Russell. However, once he met Sookie, and they fought with her fae powers, and her royal background was exposed, the war halted. Sookie's powers in addition to her background, and the respect, fear, along with ancient bloodline of Eric, made them a formidable match.

Pam was gleeful.

Sookie however wasn't thinking that way. She found the love of her life after Bill betrayed her, and wanted only Eric. He felt the same. They quickly bonded, and she was known as Queen Northman. For the first several years, Sookie was in bliss; yet the more popular Eric became, his attention became divided. Sookie also started to notice the power, and arrogance her lover had started to get. Pam told her once that it would pass.

That was four years ago.

Now, she was sitting here, in one of the most beautiful gowns she'd ever seen, sitting beside her husband, who hadn't said anything about her, or the dress she so painstakingly chosen for tonight. Sookie was pulled from her thoughts by Pam.

"You look absolutely beautiful, Sookie," Pam whispered, smiling at her. Blinking back tears, Sookie smiled before focusing on her food. One of the many good things to come out of her marriage to Eric, apart from world peace, and all that, was her relationship with Pam. She was still very much Pam, but she was happy that Eric finally got what he wanted. Pam also found herself agreeing with Sookie's logic, and was surprised at her fashion sense. They even enjoyed the same movies, which shocked the both of them. To be honest, over the past several years, Pam acted more as if she was married to Sookie, than Eric.

"My lady, if I may ask-"

Sookie interrupted the man sitting across from her smiling.

"Sookie, please. I do not find comfort in my title as many would think." People at the table laughed lightly, once again honored that their queen was not into titles. Eric however, looked at Sookie curiously. Of course, she didn't make eye contact, because she didn't want to look at him.

Not anymore.

"If you wish, Sookie. There have been rumors. Rumors that the fae women can have children with either a fae individual, or a supernatural species. Is that true?"

Taking a sip of her champagne, she set the glass down before studying the man. She noted that everyone at the table were listening, riveted by the question.

"Yes," she answered, much to the shock, and delight of everyone present. The man who asked the question eyes were wide in shock. He was trying to collect himself. Eric, not to mention Pam was as well. Eric kept shaking his head in disbelief. Sookie however kept eating her fish, as if nothing extraordinary had been said. The man stared at Sookie.

"How long have you known?" Another person asked, this time a vampire woman. Smiling bitterly, Sookie answered.

"About a year ago. This same time, actually." Standing Sookie smiled at everyone present before excusing herself.

"I apologize, but I find myself suddenly feeling unwell."

Several men, including Eric stood. He tried to reach out to her, but she moved before he could.

….

Towel drying her hair, Sookie paused when she saw Eric sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I now remember. When you were trying to tell me, that is. I came in late, and had just gotten control of Texas. I asked you to wait until later, but I never let you."

Saying nothing, Sookie only stood in front of him, waiting for him to continue. Sookie was silently screaming in her head.

That's not all!

Please Eric, don't say you forgot!

Don't say you forgot tonight!

"And tonight. Pam said that you might be upset that I didn't notice you. I am sorry, Sookie. You looked absolutely stunning, Sookie. I-"

Holding up a hand, she was unable to keep the tears from her eyes.

"That's not why i'm upset. But, it doesn't matter. Because i'm done."

Flashing over her, he grabbed her arms.

"What do you mean, you're done?"

"I mean that i'm done. I cannot do this anymore. It's so much more than a stupid dress, Eric."

"Then what is it?!"

"I was pregnant! Last year! That's why I smelled so different. I didn't realize it, until I spoke with Claudette."

Eric stumbled as if he'd been staked. He collapsed to the bed as she continued to speak.

"I had been trying to tell you for weeks! The next day, I didn't know why I felt so terrible. I fell, and lost the baby. I lost the baby!"

"You should have come to me!"

"When was I supposed to do that, Eric?! When? I tried. Every day, every minute, every hour. But there was never enough time."

"Sookie-"

Tears were streaming down her face as she shouted at him.

"You promised me! You promised me that it would only be the two of us. That no matter what happened, good or bad, it would just be you, and I. I love you, I have forsaken everything to be with you, and for what? All so you can have millions of people adore you? Eric, I can't breathe, and i'm suffocating because of you!"

Walking into her closet, she pulled out an already packed duffle bag. Sliding on her shoes, she ignored his pleas.

"Sookie. Sookie! You cannot leave. I'm sorry alright! I admit, i've let this drive a wedge between us, but it's nothing we can't fix. Sookie!" he roared her name, almost shaking the walls in the process. Once her shoes were on, she whirled on him.

"What is today?"

Frowning, he placed his hands on his hips, staring down at his small, blonde wife.

"Today? It is Sunday."

Closing her eyes, she shook her head before smiling sadly. Walking around him, she grabbed her purse, heading to the door. Eric tried blocking her, but she waited until Jessica, her assistant knocked. She told her to knock at this time should she not be outside.

"Your majesty? The car is outside waiting."

"I'll be right there," Sookie called out, over Eric's shoulder.

"Goodbye, Eric. And for your information, today is our anniversary."

Moving around him, she gasped when he placed his hand atop hers as she turned the knob.

"This isn't over, Sookie."

"Yes, it is."

….

What do you think? Should I keep going or nah? Let me know! LOL
