Teddy Lupin Meets His Godfather

Harry Potter stood with a tiny child with bubblegum pink hair. He had felt very paternal towards the infant as soon as he had held him in his arms. They were at Hogwarts; Teddy's grandmother who had brought him here was back in the castle. Harry was sitting by the lake with the baby boy in his arms.

"Hello Teddy, finally awake I see!" Harry crooned as baby opened his eyes with a yawn. His eyes fixed on Harry and his expression changed recognizing a new face. He watched Harry wide-eyed and then tried to touch Harry's glasses.

"I'm Harry, your Godfather," Harry chuckled tickling the baby. Teddy Lupin encircled his tiny fingers around Harry's index finger in a tight grip.

"Your parents made me your Godfather; I hope I turn out to be a good one. I hope I be more like Sirius. He was my godfather…the only person I had closest to a parent." Harry spoke to him as his godson understood nothing.

"Do you want to meet your parents?" Harry asked. Teddy just blinked, taking that as a 'yes' Harry walked from the lake toward the memorial.

When he reached the memorial, he stood there and stared at the names inscribed on the cool metal. It hurt him…they shouldn't have died. His eyes stopped at Tonks and Lupin's names. "Your parents names have been inscribed him. They were very brave people you know, they died for you. They wanted you to grow up in a better place. They sacrificed themselves."

He then walked over to the place where all the bodies were buried, Tonks and Lupin had been buried the exact same way his parents had been. He clutched Teddy close to his chest.

"There they are…" he whispered his eyes stinging a bit.

On their epitaph it read, "To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die."

A/N: Aw…I'm feeling all sad now. Tonks and Lupin are one of my favorite characters and them dying without knowing their son was just unfair. But I imagine Harry and Teddy to have a similar relationship as Sirius and Harry had had.

Anyway…did you like it?
