The vibration was barely heard over Koro-sensei's English teachings, but it was heard, and multiple people sighed. This was possibly the fifth time this week Chrome Dokuro had received an important phone call that she could not ignore. Apparently, Nagisa heard that she had a job as a secretary at a big-shot place and was considered very important and also, very busy. Thus, she got at least seven to ten phone calls a day and would have to step out to answer it. He did feel a tinge of pity for her though; every time she had to step back in, she looked troubled and would pack her bag quickly and leave for the day.
They had originally thought she was just a pretty thing when she transferred; short hair styled in a vague shape of a pineapple, small stature, and startling violet eyes. Despite the fact that Karasuma-sensei had said that she was a professional, she looked harmless. She was socially stunted, never picking up on any of the less-desired insinuations of the male part of the class and seemed to take everything in stride, even Fuwa's comment on the whole pirate eye-patch thing being a clearcut sign of an anime protagonist.
She was average in everything, ranging from knifework to grades.
Their opinion of her being average was irrevocably changed after she had received one of her daily calls one day, she had begged Koro-sensei to let her skip the lesson, but since they were taking quite a complicated problem in math, Koro-sensei did not relent.
"Chrome-san, I understand that you value your famiglia a lot, but your education is very important-" A few students could swear that they saw Chrome's visible eye flash blood red for a second before a trident appeared in her hand and six of Koro-sensei's tentacles plopped gracelessly on the floor, creating a sickening 'Squelch!' sound. Koro-sensei was startled, and clearly flustered as he took a dash back, losing six tentacles in an instant was clearly too much for him, before Chrome took that moment to dash out the door, leaving the classroom in an almost suffocating silence.
It wasn't long before Maehara's voice rang out in the room.
"What...happened?"
That day, everybody knew that even a tiny person like Chrome could have a dark side that, when angered, would be unleashed like a predator on defenseless prey.
Back in the present, Chrome Dokuro smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, Sensei, can I take this-?" She gestured at her phone.
"Actually, Chrome-san, I was thinking that today, you would teach the class about being a secretary to a high-class company. It would be nice for them to even see a small glimpse of a job of a secretary, no?"
Chrome looked reluctant but was surprisingly compliant. "Hai..." She tapped the answer button, and a quiet voice was emitted from the high-quality device, entirely livid. "Herbivore, come fix this or get bitten to death." Shivers crawled up their spines, even Koro-sensei looked pale (yellowishly pale, almost like the inside of a banana), while Chrome looked like she was used to this, she answered detachedly.
"What's wrong, Hibari-san?"
The deadly voice answered. "The pineapple herbivore assaulted my lover," If possible, it was even angrier, and the bloodlust filled the room even though the person could've been hundreds of miles away. "...what?" Her voice was quieter than they'd ever heard, barely above a whisper, and devoid of any emotion.
"He came in the middle of the fucking meeting and started taking out his sexual frustration on MY Tsunayoshi!" Possessiveness and sharp anger filled his tone, accelerating the bloodlust in the room. Despite feeling scared shitless, Nagisa felt for the man. Having someone kiss your lover in front of you wouldn't be pleasant, especially since the man seemed to carry some sort of special hatred exclusive for the 'pineapple man'.
"And how many countries did you destroy?" Chrome asked tiredly, stunning her classmates. What?
"I bit him to death a hundred times and proceeded to destroy six herbivorous countries, of course. They also happened to be countries whose mafia bosses attempted to touch Tsuna."
"Wonderful," Chrome said sarcastically, and her classmates were shocked further. What the hell was the man saying and why was Chrome acting like this was normal?! What sort of company did she really work for?!
"I expect the other guardians caused similar damage?"
"Hn. The dynamite herbivore killed 12 mafiosos for causing Tsunayoshi trouble and unnecessary aggravation, the sword herbivore destroyed three amusement parks, the spoiled herbivore invaded all the kitchens and stole all the sweets, and injured fourteen civilians. I bit the extremely-annoying herbivore to death for laying a hand on Namimori,"
Killing?! Mafia!? Biting to death...?
"I see, thank you for your report, Hibari-san. And no, before you start, I do not want to know about the ways you will seduce Bossu into your bedroom, I am not interested."
The phone-call ended with a click. The silence in the room was only interrupted by Chrome's tired sigh. "Sorry about that, one of my... coworkers, as you heard, took his sexual frustration out on my Bossu, and his lover was not exactly happy."
"...Uh, right." Isogai said nervously.

"...what sort of company do you work for, Chrome-san?" Nagisa finally asked with a nervous smile and noted that everybody seemed to focus on that, wanting to know. Chrome smiled mysteriously, placing a finger on her lips. "Omerta," She said simply. "I am not allowed to say, for it will land me in one of the worst prisons in the world if the punishment is not the very likely death."
Nobody had anything to say about that, but surprisingly, Chrome continued after a beat.
"Just that... it was the reason I met the people I belong with, and will always belong with. The only moment that I will betray them is in my death, for I will leave them forever. It is the place where people cared for me when no one else would, where people fed me when I was hungry, and treated my wounds when I got the tiniest scratch. The bond that connects us guardians will never sever, even after the death of our Sky. We serve our Sky, just as our Sky serves us. I am one of the Mists, and I will only accept one Sky."
Again, everybody was shocked by the strong determination seeping from the previously-believed timid girl. Nagisa shivered, he could feel the power behind her skin, ready to pounce and easily destroy them all. But while he did not know what Chrome-san was involved in, he could tell she was not dangerous. She could be, she had the power to be dangerous, and yet no ill intention came from her. Only loyalty and determination painted her expression, and from that day on, Nagisa could tell that everybody carried a certain respect for Chrome-san.
