The rain poured down outside and the temperature had dropped well below zero; it was one of the coldest days of that year. Diane rolled over in bed at the sound of the alarm clock and stared at the time for some moments before dragging herself out of bed. Her head was pounding and she was tired, but she knew she had no choice but to go to work, Ric would not be best pleased if she didn't. She grinned, as she thought of Ric, there was something about him that always made her grin.
Ed looked up from the breakfast as she walked over and his eyes lit up, he hadn't expected to find himself there that morning. Her face fell as she saw him and he felt his heart sink along with it. Maybe she didn't want breakfast? But he knew it was something more than that. Maybe… maybe she had forgotten the night before? He shook his head and continued prodding the sausages, there had been something, a spark, a firework, whatever it had been it had been something that told him they'd always be together.
"Good morning!" He grinned as she sat down at the table. He wanted to make the most of those moments, even though she seemed confused. Everything about her made him smile and when he saw her he just couldn't stop, he couldn't contain himself.
"Is it?" she asked innocently. It wasn't that she didn't remember the night before, she had just tried not to remember it.
