Hermione looked around dazed.
"What the Merlin? Why am I no-".
"Shut up Granger!" A broad, vicious-faced boy pushed together her pale lips, and gave stare that could draw the silvery, thick blood from the veins of a unicorn. "If you continue with these shenanigans you'll expose Wizardry? What are you playing at you pathetic little Mudblood?"
Shuffling up slightly, she rested her forearms on the uneven cobbles and looked at the surrounding crowds gazing on. Her vision blurred slightly and she dropped her head forward, letting her thick locks cover her face. The fair headed boy was crouched next to her, fiercely trying to ward off onlookers.
"Haven't you got better things to do? Bloody hell, pathetic Muggles." His banshee-like yell echoed.
An agonizing twinge rushed to Hermione's temple and she flung her head up again, letting out a small moan. The stern faced blonde boy turned back to where the tiny cry was released and carefully blotted a small trickle of blood from Hermione's brow. Turning back to the congregation, he violently ascended.
"She's fine!" He snarled and noticed her wand lying awkwardly between two cobbles. Instantly he scooped it up, preventing any magic exposure to the Muggle world. "You best be glad I'm here Granger, you'd be bloody in some trouble if I wasn't" Hermione's eyes fluttered open and closed trying to focus on the mysterious boy who somehow knew a lot about her…then it clicked. "Malfoy?".
Platform 9¾ must have sealed before I had chance to go through. Joy.I'm stuck with the disgusting creature that is Draco Malfoy. Oh Godric…I'm going to miss classes and…Dumbledore is going to be disappointed and an-
She was cut off mid-thought but Draco hoisting her up and kicking her bags towards her in disgust.
"Come on. I know another way. But this is the only time I'm helping you Granger." He snapped with authority. Hermione dusted off and gathered her bags next to her overturned cart. She smiled slightly at the achievement of taming Malfoy (slightly) from his usual vile and disgusting manor. Before she could even continue with praising herself the boy was almost out of station doors and back into reality.
"Malfoy! MALFOY". Her calls droned in the hustle and bustle of the station as she scrambled after him. But the boy wouldn't restrain his pace. "MALFOY!". She pushed the weighted cart through the crowds of people, apologising every few steps for collisions. "You evil little cockroach, MALFOY! UGH!". Abandoning the cart, she bolted to stop him, he was her only way to get to Hogwarts even if she wasn't on time, she couldn't miss a year.
A soft palm found Draco's shoulder halting his movement and making him pivot on the spot. His usually scornful face relaxed as he was sent into a deep trance of fascination, admiring the delicate Gryffindor who was obviously still slightly disorientated. Her soft but frizzy curls each had a perfect place to lie around her neck, her lips, a soft and full cavern of vocabulary, and her small frame in proportion to every feature of her body. Two deep chestnutty eyes looked up softly, laced with eyelashes. He'd never been this close to Hermione before, her two male companions seemed to prevent him to. Everything about her seemed to just be placed perfectly.
Everything.
