The Remembrance
By: Brianna Wetherington
The dirty deeds you do can be remembered by the people that witness it. And sometimes, it can catch up with you in the future, and you will live to regret it! Sometimes your conscience will tell you what you're doing wrong and you can fix your bad deed, and other times you totally ignore it and go with what you are telling yourself. That is the WORST thing you can do.
In the year 1990, a girl named Elizabeth was the geek of Richmond High School. She was the only geek in the whole school. But, then there was Olivia, the prettiest, smartest, and the best dressed girl in the school. Everyone loved Olivia, except Elizabeth. Olivia always made fun of her, and one day she just couldn't take it anymore. So the day of graduation, Elizabeth ran away from home, and no one ever saw her again. Of course no one noticed that she was gone, and no one really cared. And that was the way Elizabeth's plan went.
Twenty years later, Olivia was living her normal everyday life with her husband and children, until there came a knock at the door. Olivia went to the door to find a raggedy old woman with torn clothes and a terrible stench. Olivia was very frightened by this old woman and almost slammed the door in the lady's face, but before she did anything the old lady said she needed a place to stay for the night and couldn't find any place to sleep. So Olivia was kind to the old lady and let her sleep in the spare room they had for guests. But what Olivia didn't know, was that she had just let her worst nightmare into her own home.
The old woman seemed nice to the kids and the husband didn't suspect anything either. Olivia thought that the woman was very charming, but at the same time she was also very scared of the woman. It was just something about the woman that gave Olivia the chills. But Olivia just went on with her day and everything seemed fine. Until, she went to bed. That was what the old woman had been waiting for the whole day.
When everyone went to bed, the old woman snuck very quietly from her bed and out of her room. The woman explored the house until she found Olivia's room. As she turned the door knob, one of the kids snuck from their room and saw the old woman sneaking into their mother's room. Curious, the child snuck up behind the woman and intended to ask what she was doing. But, before the child could say a word, the old woman got scared and reached for her knife and stabbed the child.
The old woman quickly closed the door and went over to the other children's rooms and killed them too, just to make sure they didn't hear anything. When she finished, she once again went back towards Olivia's room and quickly but quietly opened the door, to find Olivia sleeping in her bed. This was the perfect opportunity to kill her. She crept toward her bed, barely breathing to make sure she doesn't hear her.
Finally, when she reached her bed and was getting ready to stab her, she had woken up to find the old woman standing over her. Quickly she reached for the lamp to actually take a good look at her face. When the bright light shone on the woman's face, she had realized something familiar about the woman's face. The old woman got scared that she would recognize her, so she stabbed her to make sure she wouldn't ask any questions.
The woman leaned over the body of Olivia and said
"That's right, it's me, Elizabeth!"
Elizabeth quickly dashed for the door, and escaped. To this day, no one has seen Elizabeth, and no one knows who killed Olivia and her children, and no one will ever know.
