Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh GX. As always.
Ignorance is meaningless,
"Why am I here?" A strangled cry found release as Jaden beat his fist on the formless shadowy walls despite being technically locked away in a corner of his mind. Of course he did not recognize this.
When one is forced to confess,
"No!" Jaden shouted. He didn't know why he was being kept in here like an animal in a cage. It was so dark. So cold. The dense icy air filled his lungs so thick that he could barely breathe.
To all the nastiness inside of them.
Gasping, Jaden desperately shifted his gaze all around his rectangular prison. No way out. No way out.
Greed, pride, and irresponsibility are oh so hard to mend.
With one last burst of energy, Jaden screamed at the top of his voice.
And, didn't anybody tell you that your cries are useless here?
Dread setting in; Jaden furiously began to shake and sob.
For they only seek to mask your true fear.
He was alone. Now, soaking into his nameless guilt, he slid down towards the ground. The shame was everywhere; reflected back at him from the many rows of mirrors. Did he belong here? Is that why no one came?
In this place where your friends are so few,
Frozen, Jaden could only helplessly stare in rapt concentration as he studied his dead reflection in the cold clear glass.
Find peace in knowing that the demon was you.
Author's Note: Happy, no? Angst is all I can seem to write at the moment. I'm not this dark all the time at any rate. The poem is mine in case anyone wants to know.
