Just a little adaptation after the saddening yet happy episode of Jinenji.
Enjoy ^^
Note: Inuyasha not owned by me. Don't sue. You'd be wasting your time.

"Inuyasha?"
His ears perked up, and he turned his head to the side a bit. "Mm?"
"Were you ever.. treated like that?"
He stopped walking, which in turn caused her to pause in pushing her bike along behind him. The little scene of Jinenji being helped by the recently changed villagers brought her small comfort, but now her attention was focused on the hanyou in front of her. Did he have a past much like Jinenji's?
Inuyasha faced forward after a minute. "Huh. I don't roll over for anybody."
Kagome sweatdropped. 'Which means he was...'
He gave her a small look with his eye. "I never was either."
Kagome blinked. What did that mean? She saw he was going to continue.
"...I was never either a human, nor a demon. I found myself in my own world, and I wasn't about to let anyone push me around just because I was half and half."
Kagome pondered on his words.
And thought upon his subtle hint of a past.
And smiled.
"Inuyasha..."
He looked at her again. Surprised by the warm emotion on her face, he turned to face her. "Huh? What's up with you?"
She closed her eyes and shook her head slightly. "Oh, it's nothing. I'm just happy you're talking to me so openly."
He faltered a bit. She was happy cause of him talking?
"Uhh.. you're happy because of that?"
She nodded, and continued walking forwards past him. "It's nice to know you feel comfortable talking about your past with me."
Here she paused in front of him, and gave her head a slight turn to view him from the corner of her eye.
"I've always wanted to know about your past, Inuyasha."
She then returned to walking her bike down the dirt path, leaving him slightly stunned.
'She... she wanted to know about my...'
He stared after her, and a slow smile played on his face. 'Without my realizing it, it's felt so nice...'
The wind gave a small lift to his hair, making it wave back and forth.
'...It's felt so nice, having Kagome here.'
