Lemarque his death is the hour of fate/ the people's man/ his death is the sign we await/ His funeral day they will honor his name with the light of rebellion ablaze in their eyes/ …. They will come one and all /They will come when we call!

Oh you were so brave, pretty boy

So so brave

So so foolish

You thought they'd come

You thought they'd help

You were so full of fire, pretty boy

But it doesn't take much water to put one person out

(or even one café)

So so brave

So so foolish

You fought a losing battle

And died a hero's death

You'll always be remembered, pretty boy

But history is written by the victors

(You'll be remembered as the boy who died for nothing)

Javert tried to warn you didn't he, pretty boy?

He said all you would die

(Wet yourself with blood to be specific)

But you fought and died anyway

So so brave

So so foolish

Perhaps if you had listened to your drunk friend,

Maybe you would still be alive

(He loved you, pretty boy)

And now you're both dead

You would have been hailed a Revolutionary

Or perhaps even a hero

{But you would've had to win to be that one}

Now you're just a Martyr

So so brave

So so foolish

Clearly I don't own Les Mis. At the end of the movie I thought that the ABC Cafe was one of the saddest scenes of the movie.
