Washington and
Oregon area
Recently Toonami, a part channel with Cartoon Network, which features animated shows from Japan, was cut off the line in the Washington Oregon area. This put Anime fans in an uncontrollable rage. Kanji were grafitied on walls, threatening phone calls were made to Cartoon Network, screams of horror filled the air, and other strange events occurred during the past week! The police have been trying to control the mob storming the streets, but haven't succeeded due to the fact that they are carrying scythes, katannas, tridents, and other various Anime weapons. This was followed by a mad ranting in Japanese. No one in the area has gotten any sleep since the cancellation of Toonami. Now non-Anime fans are joining the mobs so they can get their sleep back. Now the choice is Cartoon Network's, bring back Toonami or carry out their plans.
No one knows why Cartoon Network canceled Toonami, but asking the fans a few questions easily proves the reason for the insane riots.
I slowly approach a bouncing and screaming fan. I then hold up my arms in sign of peace. "Please do not attack, I only wish to ask you a few questions," she turns her head towards me but continues madly jumping up and down, "How do you feel about the removal of Toonami?"
"What do you think," She spoke in raspy voice, "I've been out here day and night screaming for justice. I'm now suffering from withdrawal of Duo! Hey if you talk to Cartoon Network tell them if they don't give back Toonami, I want their heads!" She screamed, which was followed by a cheer.
As you can see these fans are furious with Cartoon Network! But how about talking to a non-fan that witnessed the announcement.
"Hi, I understand that you are not an Anime fan but a friend of one who saw this friends reaction to the announcement. Could you describe to us what you saw?"
"Well Cartoon Network posted a message that Toonami had been cut. I was standing at the back of the room when my friend saw it he jumped off the couch sending it sailing backwards to the floor. He began screaming "kisama you bakas!" and other words that I was completely baffled by. Then he began throwing various objects around the room, one of witch was a picture frame that dug deep into the wall beside me!" the friend ended hysterically.
From what I told you, you can see that many people are angry with Cartoon Network. I an Anime fan can completely understand these people. In fact I think I'll grab my saber and join in the riot. The decision is all up to Cartoon Network. But for their own good I think they better put Toonami back on!
