My second story! But this one is a horror. Might not be that scary but, hey, I tried my best. Based off the fourth verse of the song "I've Been Working on the Railroad". Enjoy!
Someone's in the attic with Goten…
Lightning shone through the Son house and Chi-Chi swore she heard that voice for the fifth time tonight. The first time she heard it she thought she was only dreaming. The second and third time, she thought she was going crazy. The fourth and fifth time, she knew for a fact that she heard singing. The lightning storm outside only made it seem creepier to her and what's worse, she felt a sick feeling in her stomach like something bad was about to happen. It was a childlike voice that was singing the song, similar to her second child's voice, Goten. That only made her worry more.
Someone's in the attic I know…
There it was again. Chi-Chi gripped the bed sheets in her hands before looking over at her husband, Goku. How could he not hear it? Even though she knew he was a heavy sleeper, his Saiyan hearing should've picked up the voice. Even Chi-Chi heard it clearly like somebody was whispering it into her ears.
Someone's in the attic with Goten…
Lightning once again shone through the house as Chi-Chi put the bed sheets over her head. Was it all a dream? Is she really going crazy? Chi-chi looked down at her arm and pinched herself. She let out a small yelp. This is was no dream. "What am I doing?" Chi-Chi thought to herself. "I'm under here almost scared to death when my baby could be in trouble!" Chi-Chi gathered up her courage, swung her legs over the bed, and got up, but not before the voice could talk again.
Strummin' on the old banjo
There was an eerie banjo sound after the singing stopped. Chi-Chi cringed from the sound since it felt like her ears were about to bleed. She looked back at her husband, who still was asleep even from the banjo sound. Whatever was going on, Chi-Chi didn't like it, not one bit. First of all, she needed to see if Goten was alright. She ran from her room and down the hall. The hallway suddenly seemed to be getting longer to her every step she took. As Chi-Chi finally reached the door, another flash of lightning made it's way through the house, and the singing started again.
Someone's in the attic with Goten…
Only this time, it didn't sound like Goten's voice, but a little girl's voice. It sounded vaguely familiar to Chi-Chi, but she just couldn't remember who the voice belonged too. She looked down at her hand that was clutching the doorknob to Goten's room. She stood there wondering what she would find in Goten's bed. Hopefully he was still in there, and not like the attic like the voice was singing to her. Wrong, dead wrong. Chi-Chi stood there in the open doorway and stared at Goten's bed. It was empty. She tried her best not to freak out as she calmly made her way over to the bed. As she reached the bed, she put her hand on the bed. It was barely warm, like somebody had left it a few minutes ago. Chi-Chi tried to keep a steady breath, but as she backed away from the bed, she heard a slight squishing sound. Her foot was suddenly warm and gooey. As the lightning flashed through the window a dark red substance was shown on the bottom of Chi-Chi's foot. She let out a ear splitting scream loud enough to bust and Saiyan's ears. Sadly, nobody woke up from it.
