So, here is a little one shot from Maximum Capacity!

Enjoy!

Amethyst ran into the temple, tears in her eyes. Going into her room, she sniffled, wiping her nose as she went and found a mattress to lay on. Plopping on it, she felt tears building up, but none came out. She supposed she knew that this was her own fault. How could she have been so stupid. Greg doesn't want to be friends. Unless Steven is involved somehow. Why can't it just be the two of us, like the good old days. Just us and Lil' Butler. It was nice, we could watch all day, without a care in the world. How could I ever think he could have replaced Rose?

The thought of Rose started a flow of tears, Amethyst's face getting wet from the salty liquid. She missed Rose, the only one who had understood her, who cared for her. Until he took her away. But she couldn't blame Greg. It was Rose's choice. And she gave the world Steven. Basicly Rose…...only not. Steven is great though. He's fun to be around, always has a plan, and can be trusted to solve any issue, especially those between the Gems. Amethyst probably would be even worse off without that little guy.

"Um, Amethyst?"

Amethyst froze. Wiping her face off, she slowly sat up and turned around. Pearl was standing above her, wearing a sweater she had seen in Gregs' shed. "Amethyst, have you been hanging out with Greg?"

The purple gem looked away, then nodded, a little blush appearing on her face. Pearl sighed, then asked. "And were you watching Lil' Butler again?"

Again, she nodded. Amethyst couldn't even bring herself to speak. Everything was awful. Nothing could make it better. Nothing.

Pearl nodded, then bent down next to her. "You know, Steven really wanted you and Greg there at the fireworks. It meant alot to him."

"And I wanted Rose to be there for me, but she's not. Now even Greg is bailing on me!" Amethyst yelled, hurt consuming every word she said. Pearl sat down on the mattress, hand brushing Amethyst's hair. She soothly said. "Now, now Amethyst, don't hate on Greg. He misses her just as much. And you know you can't take him away. He needs to be there for Steven, just as much as we do."

"But no one is there for me anymore. You all just leave me behind, like I'm nothing."

"You know that's not true," Pearl sternly said, "Steven would do anything for any of us. And we'll do anything for each other, because we are all we have for eachother. There is nothing for us now, nothing except for us."

Amethyst sniffled, feeling her mood cheer up. Looking up at Pearl, she asked. "Pearl, could we do a favor for Greg tomorrow?"

Pearl looked surprised. "Um, sure. What exactly do you want to do?"

"Could we clean his shed? I kinda owe him." Amethyst said. Pearl smiled. "We'd love to."
