Play
Isabel Night

I once heard from a mortal's lips
"You pay to play the game"
If only he knew
How right he was
Then things would not have changed

If war can lumped together
In this thing called a "game"
It falls on us
To pay the price
For those who seek glory--
To them who desire fame

I played my part in the fighting
The perfect puppet, pawn, and prey
Yet, if I have made this grave mistake
Then why should my Ogre take the blame?

No two blunders are alike
I am man enough--
To admit my shame
So why should he suffer for my sins?
Is this forgiveness?
In some unorthodox way

Perhaps his death is my payment
For my victims to tear away
I stole their world--
Now they stole mine
"Come and face us," they laugh
"Come, and play our game."
