Hey, all.
So, I'm working on a larger project right now, but I'm trying to write a majority of it (if not all) before posting it so I don't disappoint people by not updating.
This just kinda popped into my head. Nothing really too drastic, but I felt I should post something and I have had it in my head for a while now.
So, hope you enjoy!
(Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece)
A Normal Day
Then A Fight For Life
Nami stared wide-eyed up at the man in front of her. Her hands still clutching the still form of her green-haired companion who had fallen in battle. Not dead, but not exactly alive at the moment either.
An Exploration
Then An Escape
The steady drip of a falling liquid echoed around in her head as she looked on, stunned to the point of paralysis and being speechless. Her hair; plastered to her forehead in the heat radiating from the Marine and Pirate battlefield.
Cannon Fodder
Then A Murderous Fleet Admiral
Pained eyes stared back at her, looking over her and Zoro as though he wasn't the one who was in trouble, but them. Complete idiocy. Completely and utterly Stupid! She let out a suffocating sob, choking out his name.
"Luffy . . ."
Determined Smirks
Then Fearful Visages
He looked down at her and, damn him, smiled. Smiled the same smile he gave them every day. One that usually elicited joy and the happiness of their crew. Now, it was merely an attempted disguise of the current situation. A failed attempt. A failed disguise.
A Battling Swordsman
Then A Fallen Nakama
A rumbling choke erupted from his throat; blood splattering her unblinking face. Her eye's merely widened further, horror consuming her very being. This was not supposed to happen. This cannot be happening.
Nami reached her hand up, shakily, but was stopped by . . . laughter? A laughter from behind her captain. The owner of that damn fist, lava coated, deadly, sticking out of her captain's chest. RIght through his healed scar.
A Running Navigator, Determined To Help The Swordsman
Then A Protected Crew Mate
With a sickening sound, Akainu pulled his fist out, leaving her captain stumbling, catching himself. He swayed on his feet, determined eyes reclaiming his face. Those stupid eyes that should just learn to know when enough is enough. When he should just stop and run.
WIthout any warning, he fell, face first towards the ground. She reached out and caught him. Blood immediately soaking her hands. She felt something wet run down her face. She felt the sob escape her lips as she pulled her captain close.
A Smiling Navigator
A Crying Nakama
A strong hand, weakening, suddenly clutched her's. She flinched, eyes staring blankly out to where everyone else still fought, none truly noticing what had happened, but slowly, one by one, they did. Looking on in defeated horror.
"It's fine, Nami." the usually happy voice choked in her ear, "Tell everyone . . . I said thank you."
She swallowed back another sob, "F-for what?"
She could feel the small smile appear against her shoulder, "For being my crew."
A Smiling Captain
Then A Dying Family Member
Feeling the sudden limpness take over her captain's body, she let the tears flood her cheeks.
"CHOPPER!"
A Shattered Dream
Yeeeeaaaaahhh . . . I really don't know *smiles awkwardly*. I guess I wanted to write something dramatic?
Anyways, I am off to work on my other stories once again.
Thanks for reading!
Review if you want! :)
Have a nice night!
