"No…How could t-this…H-How…HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!" Cried out a young woman. She cradled a man's body in her arms, while kneeling on the ground. Tears began to form in the corner of her emerald colored eyes. She looked at his pale face; it looked so cold, so calm, yet pained with regret. Caressing his cheek softly with her hand, she began to shed her unsheded tears. The man who was in her arms began to stir at her soft touch. Meekly, he opened his eyes slowly to look up into her soften, pain filled emerald eyes.

Quietly, yet softly the man said to the woman, "I-I'm…S-So…S-Sorry…S-Shang…Xiang…"

She looked at him with clouded eyes. Biting the bottom of her rosy colored lip, she shook her head softly.

"No…It wasn't your fault," she started "it was my entire fault, I shouldn't have come back to Wu, only to hurt you…" she replied to him, while sounding so sorrowful, and melancholy. She then quickly, but lovingly embraced him. While being embraced, he wrapped his once strong bold arms, but now weak and fragile arms around her waist. Silence was there as the couple embraced each other, not bothering with the world, or anything else besides themselves.

Feeling the grip of his embrace on her weaken, Shang Xiang let go of him, only to look at him. He smiled at her, a sad smile full of regret yet love within it.

"Good bye…Shang Xiang…I will, always…Love you…" "NO! Don't leave me Liu Bei! P-Please don't…!"

With her protests, he began to close his eyes slowly. The once bold, brave and honorable Liu Bei, was the slowly death engulfing one. Quickly, time seemed to slow down for the couple. Tears began to slow down, breathing slowly began to go to slow sharp breathes. Blood began to slowly rise up in the throat of Liu Bei as for he had received a death blowing wound.

Within moments, Liu Bei had taken his last few breathes, and his last look at his beloved wife. His pulse began to grow slower and weaker with each and every pump it made. Death embraced his body soon; he felt the darkness consuming him while he gladly accepted it.

Silence…Was all that was left…
