Chapter 1: Introduction

Thursday June 17, 2258; 18:54

After almost 267 years, Harry Potter had known that this dinner would be his last meal. So he made sure that he enjoyed it very much for he doubted that he would have a pleasant afterlife. Sure, he had done good in the world; his defeat of Lord Voldemort was just the first of many improvements he made to the world. But those improvements often came at a cost and with Voldemort the cost had been the highest. He had lost almost all of his friends and allies in that war at the hands of the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters.

The eventual demise of his best friend Hermione Granger had brought on such a rage in the seventeen year old boy that he just apperated to the location where he knew Voldemort was residing and started throwing around magic nobody had seen before. Even Voldemort looked fearful when Death Eaters started dying left, right and centre with the cause of death for most being lightning that just appeared to come forth from Harry's hands.

Over the coming years Harry would come to appreciate the luck he had in that battle for when he reviewed the memory of the event, he saw that one of his lightning bolts had obliterated Nagini.

Soon after the demise of the Dark Lord, Harry learned of his inheritance and became Lord Potter, head of so many houses, many of which carried much political and financial power. He learned many skills, the most important of which was occlumency, the ability to shroud one's mind. But, when he began to master the skill, he found out that it was so much more than that. His though process sped up, he had perfect recall of his memories and knowledge and could absorb and accumulate a book worth of knowledge within minutes.

His mind was now a treasure trove of knowledge, both magical and mundane. From the most basic charms to the most advanced theories of alchemy. From the most basic calculus, to the most advanced theories of astrophysics.

But now, he felt that the treasure was about to sink into the ocean, never to be found again. He had made sure that his company, Marauders Inc., the most valuable company in the known galaxy, would survive without him and that his personal fortune would be spent well.

So there he lay, Harry James Potter, a wizard more powerful than Merlin and a businessman richer than the rest of the human population combined, waiting to die. But when it happened, it didn't.
