Doctor Who
The Doctor's Rejection
"Amy Pond.…Mad. Impossible Amy Pond. I don't know why…I have no idea, but quite possibly the single most important thing in the history of the universe is that I get you sorted out right now" The Doctor said, trying to hold back his companion after her surprise attack of passion "that's what I've been trying to tell you!" Amy replied, "come on" the Doctor replied, pushing her into the Tardis.
The Doctor manoeuvred past her as quickly as he could, positioning the centre console between him and Amy. "That can't happen again" he said "I wasn't aware anything had happened" Amy sulked, "well whatever happened, can't happen again" the Doctor insisted.
Amy squinted her eyes at him, "you're not making any sense" she said "aren't I?….oh sorry, I'm probably still in shock from your attack" the Doctor retorted, as he flicked a switch.
This provoked a laugh from Amy, "attack?…in what century is a snog an attack?" she asked "quite a lot of them actually, even the 21st if you're in the right place" the Doctor replied, "well not on Earth, we're not so uptight" Amy said "so it seems" the Doctor fired back, but almost instantly regretted it.
Amy gasped, "are you calling me easy?" she asked "I didn't say that" the Doctor replied, quietly, "yeah, I think you did, you called me easy" Amy said "well…you've only known me for a few days and suddenly, you're all over me" the Doctor said, "oh don't flatter yourself, you were just there" Amy replied.
"Finally, she gets it!" the Doctor said "what?" Amy asked, "you never wanted me, that's what I've been trying to tell you. You've been through a very stressful experience, I don't know many that wouldn't feel a bit odd after having a weeping angel inside their head. What…happened back there was just a touch of emotional transference. All you need is…" the Doctor started "all I need is…" Amy cut in, "…what you really need is…a nice cup of tea, works wonders" the Doctor finished, producing a steaming hot cup of tea from behind his back.
Amy took it slowly, the Doctor gave her a smile and then turned his back on her, "soooooo…you're getting married in the morning, ding dong the bells are gonna chime and you'll realise I've stopped you making the biggest mistake of your life, you'll see. So, where is your husband to be?" the Doctor asked "err…stag party, I suppose" Amy replied, a little shell-shocked by the Doctor's rejection, "well then, let's go and make it a little more interesting, shall we?" the Doctor replied, as the Tardis dematerialised.
