Hey Santa,
I know, I've been bugging you for several centuries now, but you know how much I love Earth customs and you're my kind of people. I just have this thing for loners who try to do good in the universe.
So, I guess I don't really want anything new this year. Mostly the same old stuff, but it's tradition to make a list, you know.
First of all, I want a better fencing sword. I need a good one if I'm going to beat Jean-Luc more often this year. You know I'm due. He's been winning way too much lately, and it's time someone knocked him down a rung or two. Between you and me, it would do his ego some good.
And could you bring Worf a sense of humor. I love the guy, but jeez! And some prune juice too. I know, I promised that one of these days I'd tell him it's not exactly a warrior's drink, but he loves the stuff and it's good for him, right?
Could you bring Geordi the love of his life? I know, I'm a bartender and listening to people's woes is a part of my job, but I just hate to see him spending so much time moping about it. He needs someone. I know it isn't really in your power, but no crime in asking, right?
Please bring the rest of the crew all those little things they want but never ask for.
And finally, for the children aboard the Enterprise, please bring their parents home safe and sound every night.
Guinan
PS: Okay, I know this gets old, but I just can't help myself. I love the whole 'Letter to Santa' thing. That was pure genius -- if I do say so myself.
As always, if you get bored at the North Pole, give me a call and I'll drop by. We could reminisce about grade school and how we hitchhiked to Earth. I'll even bring that bottle of cognac you gave me last year.
I hope everything is well with your family. Say 'hi' to the missus for me. Take care. I miss you.
Love,
G
