Natsu sneezed, covering his nose with his arm so as not to catch lucy's hair on fire. "Natsu, you could've told me you were sick, baka." Lucy said, sitting at the edge of the couch. The thing was, Natsu didn't want to tell Lucy. She pesters him like crazy whenever he's actually sick, not just sick from train-rides. "Bu-" Lucy cut Natsu off mid-sentence, "No buts. I'm taking care of you. Kay? Kay." She said with an irritated smile. "Lucy. Can I have some time to myself?" Natsu's voice was hoarse, and almost gone. He coughed, and laid his head back on the pillow Lucy had put there for him.
It was cold, and rainy outside, obviously why he was sick. Natsu had been outside looking around for Lucy's necklace, it had slipped off her neck as she ran from Elfman and Cana, who were trying to put her into a two piece bikini, she had been shouting something about it being too small.
"No! It's my fault you're sick, so I might as well keep you from wasting away in front of the T.V."
"BUUUUUUUUUUUUT!"
"No!"
Lucy shoved a pillow in his face and sighed, listening contently to his breathing. Natsu took the pillow and pulled it off his face, and added it to the stack of pillows under his head, and laid back gloomily.
Soon enough he was asleep on his side, and Lucy was the one wasting away in front of the T.V. But, at least she would waste away watching something good. She was watching Nickelodeon. Lucy let out a startlingly loud laugh, waking Natsu from his peaceful sleep. "Quiet down, damnit." Natsu mumbled hoarsely.
"Heh... Oops... Sorry Natsu."
"It's fine."

Natsu woke up around 8 A.M. The next morning in a coughing fit. He tried to cough quietly, to not wake up Lucy, who was sleeping on the carpeted floor next to him. It didn't work. "Natsu? You okay?" She asked, running her fingers lazily through her (greasy from sleep) blonde hair. Realizing she was awake, Natsu coughed for real, chest heaving up and down with heavy breathing, trying to catch his breath in between loud coughs. Lucy rushed to the kitchen and returned some minutes later, handing Natsu a mug a warm tea. He began to sip at it, trying not to spill it over him self with his shaky hands.
Natsu laid back down, his breathing slowed and relaxed, only a little cough here and there. Lucy handed him a small whitish-yellowish pill, and a glass of water. "But it's gross." he muttered unhappilyhis voice clearer and more defined than it was the previous day. "If you take the pill, I'll give a surprise." Lucy said, winking at him with a childish grin. "What kind of surprise?" Natsu asked teasingly, knowing she wouldn't tell, especially if it was a surprise.
Natsu dropped the pill in his mouth, and chugged some water, pushing the pill down his throat. He looked at Lucy with a disgusted face. "Ew... So, what's my surprise?" Natsu said with a crazy grin.
Lucy leaned forward and kissed him quickly on the lips. She pulled away and saw Natsu blushing as red as the fire he breathes. "L-Lucy!" He exclaimed, covering his mouth, still red. "I should take my pills more often!" Natsu laughed, patting her blonde hair and then stretching his arms upward, emitting a popping noise. "You're so cute, baka." Natsu told Lucy with a goofy, wide grin.
