Missing You Always- A poem for two lovers

Reita x Ruki

We were so happy

Our life was great

You were my world

My one perfect mate

Then one day it happened

And it was all gone

Our pictures, our history

Things we've held for so long

But the flames took more

Then the average eye could see

They took our love

And pulled you away from me

For weeks I waited

For you to awake

Even on your birthday

I saved you a piece of cake

Even in the end

I was sad to see you go

But I knew someday

Somehow I would follow

And so here I stand

Over your stone grave

With a knife to my skin

An invisible white flag to wave

It was my last day without you

I missed you, I said

To our friends this morning

Over tea and bread

I tried to be happy

Really, I did

I tried to move on

For the sake of our kid

And yet here I stand

Because I failed you again

I need to be with you

In that sunshiney land

As I fall to the ground,

Blood flowing freely

I see you appear

Slowly walking near me

You take me in your arms

And I hold onto you, too

As you whispered

"Oh, how I missed you."

Together again,

Nothing can stop us

Together at last

If only just.
