This is a one-shot for one of my favourite books, Magic Flutes by Eva Ibbotson with one of my favourite couples, Tessa and Guy, on their wedding day. Please R&R! Thank you and if you have any questions etc please send me an email. Okayyy, on with the story!

It was a beautiful day at Pfaffenstien. Here in the clear, open countryside of Vienna, time seemed to stand still; the blue sky rolled over the hills and valleys, endless and perfect, lighting up the castle that stood upon the green hilltop.

The castle was like no other castle; it rose above them all in its glory and beauty. The dark, towering stone twisted up into the sky in its winding towers and sundial-topped turrets, casting cold, pure shadows upon the lakes and forests that stood proudly, guarding the walls and gates.

A butterfly flittered past, soft and delicate in the summer breeze, soaring past the blowsy roses that grew in the famous rose garden, landing upon the shoulder of the Swan Princess, who stood, tears in her eyes, next to her son, Prince Maximilian of Spittau. Maxi sighed, his blue eyes caught upon the wonder in front of him. If only..... next to him, his new wife, Heidi, glorious in a pale dress of floaty, gauzy blue, openly sobbed.

And Guy, the quicksilver groom, stood at the end of the aisle, his green-blue eyes fixed upon the sight in front of him. For it was not the beauty and splendour of Pfaffenstien that held them transfixed.

A small figure was walking up the pathway, elegant and flowing in a simple white dress that draped over her small bones. The Princess of Pfaffenstien stood, waiting. The guests hushed.

And she was walking again, her copper hair catching in the dappled sunlight, her large brown eyes sparkling with a hidden secret, pure and dazzling. Her small hand slipped into Guy's, and he cradled it, warm and soft.

For it was their wedding day; pure and sweet and perfect.
