Miss me? I know I should be delivering another chapter of Cure, but sadly real life has interfered with that plan, and completely ruined it. I will have it up soon though.
But, for now, here is a short (very short) fluffy piece to tide you over and assure you that I'm not dead. Hope you like. :)
My Beloved
Angela stomped into Brennan's office and stood in front of the stunned forensic anthropologist.
She threw a heavy book down on her desk, a strange look of anger and excitement on her face. "What on earth is this?"
Brennan looked at her, puzzled. "Umm, it's my new book, Ange. Released today."
"I know that. I went to the bookstore and bought a copy."
"You know I could have got you a copy for free."
"It doesn't matter. What does matter is this - " She picked up the book and turned a few pages in. "This book is dedicated to my much appreciated Squint Squad, and my beloved G-Man." Angela looked at her again, waiting for a response.
"What? Didn't I get the terms correct? I could have sworn I heard Hodgins refer to Booth as G-Man…"
"No, what I'm talking about is your use of adjectives, Bren."
"Much appreciated? Well, I do appreciate you guys - "
Angela threw her hands in the air, exasperated. "No! Bren! MY BELOVED! What on earth is 'My Beloved' meant to mean?"
"Oh. That."
"Yes. That." Angela smiled expectantly. "Is there something you want to tell me about your relationship with Booth, Sweetie?"
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
Outside on the platform, Zack and Hodgins looked up as a loud squeal was audible from Brennan's office.
"Was that Angela?"
"Didn't you read Brennan's book, Dude?"
Please review. Even if it's to tell me how annoyed you are that Cure is taking ages to update. (Bellabun, I'm looking at you..) Reviews feed my soul. And my muse.
