Sam stood alone at the bus stop in front of Bushwell Plaza, waiting for Carly and I to come down and stand with her. It was a sad sight, though. She looked so helpless, wet from the hard-hitting rain falling from the gloomy Seattle skies. I also felt bad because Carly was feeling sick, so she wouldn't be here today. Sam would have to put up with just having me around, which is probably not the best situation for either of us.

I walk out the front doors of the building and open my umbrella, stepping beside her. She looks back inside the building, trying to spot Carly.

"She's sick," I say simply, and I see her deflate even more. She looks up at the grey sky, large rain-droplets battering her face.

"This is so jank," She hisses. I have to agree with her, I never really liked the rain. Maybe because it was always raining in this city, or looked like it's going to.

"Why don't you wait inside?" I ask her. It sounds like a better deal then standing out in the rain. She shrugs.

"I tried, but Lewbert kept yelling at me," I look up through my clear umbrella and at the rain drops spattered on it. It was a large umbrella for one person, I always thought. And I'd always pictured myself under it with Carly gripping me tightly. But Carly wasn't here. She always had another umbrella. But I think I know someone who doesn't, which make these tingles flow through my body. It's a weird sensation that I'm not sure if I like or dislike.

"You can stand under my umbrella with me," I finally say, after watching her hair go limper and get clothes turn a darker shade from the wet. I see her smirk.

"Why would I want to stand under you're umbrella? I don't want to get dork all over me," She seethes. It's not her best retort ever, but I figure that when you're drenched and in the rain, you're not really feeling the best. I know I wouldn't be. Thunder booms above us, and the rain falls harder, if that's at all possible. She looks at me with a sort of pleading in her eyes, and I nod.

Sam slides over to me and stands beneath the umbrella with me. Her back is slightly pressed against my chest in order to stay away from the rain. The umbrella seems a lot smaller now, but I don't mind.

"I hate rain," She says, and I laugh.

"I was thinking the same thing," I tell her. She smiles her Sam smile at me, and we wait for the bus together, under the same umbrella in the rain.

Yay! :) This came to me while watching a show that I absolutely love called So You Think You Can Dance, the umbrella routine that Katee and Courtey do. So cute.

Also cute was this little drabble. I don't know why I'm writting so many, proably because I don't have to worry about length, and because they're so much fun when you have a burst of cute.

Anyway, please reveiw! :) It makes me oh so happy.
