A/N: I don't have much time to write long stories, so I decided to make a short one this time. :) This is taken place on the future, and enjoy reading~

Tadaima, Nagi.

A tall figure let out a sigh as he dragged his feet back to the mansion after finishing a tiresome mission. Mukuro stopped on his tracks just as he was about to open the door of the mansion as he ran his hand through his messy blue locks.

'Seriously… why am I working for the Mafia family that I detested a lot?'

The illusionist wondering to himself as he lazily slung his suit jacket over his shoulder before deciding to make his way towards the small garden of the Vongola mansion. He needs some fresh air after the tiresome mission.

"It couldn't have been for the fortune." He said to himself.

Heck. That will be foolish of him if he worked for the Vongola family just for the fortune. He doesn't even need those. He rubbed his chin as he tried to think out another reason for his now seemingly foolish decision.

"… Fame…?"

Well… does having your name being famous in the underworld counted? Nope, not really.

I guess the reason is rather obvious…

"Kufufu… It's because by working for the Vongola family, I'm only a step closer on possessing Sawada Tsunayoshi's body… right?" he asked himself silently before he stop on his tracks.

And… the other reason is…

"M-Mukuro-sama?" a soft and gentle voice called as a woman with long, fluttering purple locks jogged towards him. Mukuro felt a soft smirk tugged on his lips as he saw the younger illusionist who greeted him with a shy and happy smile.

"Kufufufufu~ my dear Chrome, have you been a good girl while I'm away?" he asked as he ran his smooth fingers through her strands of long purple locks. Chrome could felt that her face was starting to heat up from Mukuro's gentle touches as she looked down at her feet.

"Y-Yes… I have… Mukuro-sama" Chrome managed to stutter out in her embarrassment as Mukuro chuckled at her cute movement.

'My sweet Nagi… is just so cute and adorable as always.'

"Mukuro-sama… d-did you get hurt on your mission?" the female illusionist asked as she looked at the other illusionist worriedly. Mukuro blinked his eyes at her question before letting out a soft chuckle and kissed her softly on her forehead, surprising Chrome with his sudden action.

"Silly girl… I'm okay. I'm safe and sound in front of you right now, right? I'll be immortal, as long as you are always here with me."

Chrome held up her hand and touched the place where he kissed her before a warm smile creep on her face. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around him and taking in his familiar warmth that she had missed in these past few weeks.

She gave out a deep sigh before whispering under her breath. "O… Okaeri... Mukuro-sama…"

The other illusionist smiled widely to her as he patted her head lovingly. "Tadaima… Nagi."

As Chrome was enjoying the silent moment between both of them, Mukuro looked up on the sky and his smile grew wider at the thought in his mind.

'The other reason… is you… my Nagi.'

The End.
