It had been a week since Sara had been rescued. Grissom had given Sara 3 weeks leave of absents. So far she had just sat on her couch staring at a family picture. She hadn't eaten anything and was probably dehydrated. She couldn't take it she had almost died and when she was under that car she had given up all hope if Greg hadn't seen her from the helicopter she would have died. The reality of this scared the shit out of her. In the back of her mind she thought she should talk to someone but she was too frightened to leave her apartment. Grissom had visited her but she smiled put on a happy voice and told him she was fine. Grissom was stopping by for his daily visit. As he approached the door to her apartment he heard her talking "God damn it why couldn't I have just died dying would have been so much easier and less suffering I can't take much more of this" and she sighed and then began to cry she hadn't cried since she had told Grissom about her past. Grissom knocked on the door waiting for her to answer. She opened the door a couple minutes later her eyes were puffy and red from crying. "Sara are you okay?" "Yeah Gil I am fine just tired I guess" they sat on her couch and he saw the family photo on the ground with a broken frame. "Sara I hate this but I think you need to talk to someone its not good to leave a situation like this untouched you need help" "I am fine Gil really just overwhelmed" "Sara I have seen cases like this before and if you don't talk to someone you could hurt yourself" "Grissom! I am not one of your cases or experiments okay you can just go to hell!" and at that moment Grissom saw a strong as nails coworker break down hysterically and let her guard down . This was definitely not the Sara Sidle he knew this Sara had given up all hope and didn't see a future for herself.
