Little Batman skit I came up with. Hope you like! :)

Disclaimer: I don't own Batman. It belongs to DC Comics.

The Bat-Signal went off.

"There's trouble in the city, Robin!" Batman exclaimed.

"Sheesh!" Robin complained. "Crime never takes a vacation! When are we gonna take one, Batman?"

"No time for chit-chat about that! Gotham needs me! C'mon, Robin! To the Batmobile!"

Our Dynamic Duo slid down the Batpole into the Batcave, where the Batmobile was parked as usual. They leapt into their usual seats, Batman started the engine up, then-

RUMBLE!

BANG!

HISS!

Strange sounds erupted from under the hood of the Batmobile. It sluggishly moved only a few inches before stopping as its engine abruptly cut out.

"Blast!" Batman angrily banged his fist on the steering wheel. "What a time for the Batmobile to conk out on me!"

"Don't worry, Batman! You can fix it!" Robin tried to sound positive. "You're Batman!"

"I'm not sure. I'm a superhero, Robin, not a car mechanic." Batman climbed out of the driver's seat to grudgingly make his way to the front of the vehicle. "I knew I shouldn't have taken it for a service at Joker's Jacks! I was certain there was something shifty about that place just from the name..."

Batman lifted the hood of the Batmobile - to be lost in a thick cloud of black smoke which billowed from the dead engine.

"Holy smokes, Batman!" Robin cried.

As the smoke cleared away, Batman stared at his sidekick from underneath his ash-covered mask as he slammed the hood shut. "You can say that again, Robin..."

"Okay! Holy smokes-"

"Shut up!" Batman yelled as he clipped Robin around his ear. "I wasn't being serious!"

Robin rubbed the spot where he had been struck before gazing at Batman with worry. "What are we gonna do? We can't get far without a car! Gotham needs you!"

"Doesn't a kid like you have a pass for free rides in a cab?"

"No."

"A bus?"

"No."

"The subway?"

"No."

"Then..." Batman sighed dejectedly. "I'm afraid we are going to have to do something drastic if these crooks are to be stopped..."

"No!" Robin's eyes widened in horror. "Batman, surely, you don't mean..."

"I'm afraid I do, Robin..."

With a heavy sigh, Batman headed back up into Wayne Manor to pick up the Bat Phone.

"Yeah, hello? It's me, Batman. I'm afraid I'm having a bit of car trouble when there's crime going on in the city. Would you mind coming over and covering for me tonight, Superman?"
