Author's Notes: It is no secret that Tock is based on the crocodile from Peter Pan so, I thought it would be hilarious to have Hook and even Peter Pan in the story. But in order to make that idea work, some things needed to be changed. I will be explaining what changed, how it changed and when possible, why it changed via flashbacks. Needless to say, this will be a different Jaune and thusly some of his relationships will also have changed.

But, enough talk!

Let get this Train Wreck Rolling!

Captains Log:

The day that we all have been waiting for is almost upon us, tomorrow we and the rest of the first years will be going on our very first mission, well a few of the teams have already left like RWBY who left a couple of days ago. Either way, my team is going to be assisting another Huntsman with what should be a simple investigation and possible extermination mission at a small settlement that doesn't even have a name yet. Ren and Nora seem especially eager and maybe a little anxious about this mission, I wonder if it has something to do with what happened to them in the past. Though, I'd be lying if I didn't confess that I wasn't the most nervous one on the team. I can't even hide it from anyone, though I have tried to just tell them that I'm nervous about getting on a Bullhead. Thanks to what happened on my very first day at Beacon, everyone believes it without question.

Well, not everyone. Ruby seemed to suspect that I'm lying to her and Pyrrha... well, there was no way I could hide it from her. I know that they just want to help me but I wish that stop looking at my arm like I'm some kind of invalid. I remember when I first tried hitting on Weiss, she looked like she was going to tell me off and then she saw my Prosthetic arm and just... I don't want to be pitied and I don't want my parents to worry or blame themselves just because they couldn't afford anything more expensive than the literal bottom of the barrel and above all, I do not want my sisters to think for even a second that it is their fault that we couldn't afford something far more durable to serve as my arm, it's not like I even need two arms to wield a Rapier.

I'm getting off of the subject, the point is that tomorrow Team JNPR goes on its first official mission and I will finally prove once and for all that I "Captian" Jaune Arc am a real Boniefide Huntsman despite my arm and despite my transcripts! Then I will finally be able to stand beside everyone else as a true equal.

Note to Self: Remember to try and Find a fancy hat at the Settlement or anything else I could add to complete my pirate aesthetic.

Second Note to Self: Try to find out what is Beacon's policy on pets, maybe I can get a bird or a crab of some sort.

Fifty miles isn't a great distance not by any means. But, there are times when it feels like an impossible distance, an invisible barrier separating one location from another. In the world of Remement, where actual Soulless monsters existed and wanted to kill you for the crime of living, fifty miles between a small settlement and the safety of the capital can be a Death Sentence. That's why Jaune couldn't fail, that is why Jaune and the rest of the Team JNPR had to succeed on this mission.

"Helllllloooooo, Remnant to Jaune! Remnant to Jaune do you read me?"

"Heh, I read you loud and clear," Jaune turned to face the concerned Pink Bomber.

"Well duh, you can hear me! It's not like you've suddenly gone deaf. Wait. Can you suddenly go deaf without any warning whatsoever!?" Nora was suddenly right next to her best friend Ren and she grabbed him by his arm and began shaking him, "Ren, am I suddenly going to go Deaf!?"

"No, Nora. You're not."

"Oh, well in that case. Jaune what's wrong?"

Dammit, I forgot just how perceptive Nora really was. He needed to lie… again, "Well we are about to climb into a Bullhead and I do get a bit… airsick." Jaune hoped that this would be enough to get Nora off of his back, at least for now. I'm sorry Nora, I'm Sorry Ren. I want to tell you about my transcripts, hell I want to tell Ruby as well. And I will, right after I prove myself on this mission.

"Hey Kids, are you coming or not?" Shouted the rather impatient Bullhead pilot.

"Well Captain, shall we depart?" Asked Pyrrha as she already began to board the Bullhead.

She was followed by Ren and Nora who also made the same playful remark.

*BOOOOOOOOOM*

Suddenly the blaring sound of alarms filled the air as the sky began to be choked with smoke.

Soon after that entirety of team JNPR received the Code Red emergency notice on their scrolls along with every Huntsman and Huntsman-in-training available to respond.

The Walls had been Breached: Grimm were in the city.

"Take us to Vale!" Jaune shouted a the pilot who was already planning out the new route, Jaune then turned to face his teammate Ren whose normally stoic face was now painfully easy to read. "Ren, when this is over. We'll go and save that village, I promise." With that said, Team JNPR climbed aboard the Bullhead and flew into a city that was under attack.

There was a breach in the wall. For the people of Vale who have spent generations living in near perfect peace and safety, thanks to the massive wall which shielded their city from the hordes outside, a breach was unbelievable. The very idea that anyone would plot to put a hole in that venerable shield, was laughable. And yet a train addled with explosives did burst through the wall allowing the Grimm to enter and destroy. All thanks to the efforts of a very angry and confused group known as the White Fang working under the orders of an angry taskmaster working under the "Suggestions," of a self-important Pawn.

The sight that greeted Team JNPR upon reaching the location of the Breach was that of an exhausted Team RWBY trying valiantly to hold back the black and white tide of Grimm as well as a few surviving members of the White Fang trying to decide between fighting the huntresses or fleeing from Grimm that they had allowed into the city.

But, none of that mattered.

What mattered was that team RWBY was sluggish, they were being sloppy and fighting in a bizarrely defensive manner. The reason why became abundantly clearer and clearer the closer Team JNPR got. It was exhaustion, team RWBY was fighting while injured and exhausted. They needed help and they needed it now, or they were going to be overrun.

Ruby Rose was tired but she couldn't stop. If she stopped then she would die and it wouldn't be just her, the civilians who were depending on her and the rest of her team would die as well. Team RWBY was battered and tired but they were standing their ground, they didn't have a choice. Ruby looked around and saw that both Weiss and Yang were close to their limits and Blake wasn't too far behind. She also saw a new wave of Grimm charging towards them. Well, mom… looks like I'll be seeing you soon.

"Queen Anne's Revenge!" Suddenly the oncoming wave of Grimm was buffeted by a barrage of bright neon pink grenades which then covered the battlefield in an equally pink haze. Inside that haze, Ruby could make out two figures darting through the fog cutting down the Grimm who survived the initial strike. "We have been practicing that move in secret for months. To prepare for the Vytal Festival."

Rudy turned and to her great relief, she saw her friends the Pink Grenadier Nora Valkyrie and the Hook-Handed Captain of Team JNPR Jaune "Captain" Arc. "Thank Oum! Quick, Jaune we need your team to hold the Grimm back if you do that Weiss might be able to seal up the hole."

"I don't know Ruby… there's a lot of them. Maybe we should be retreating." he answered nervously as a new wave of Grimm replaced the once that had just been destroyed.

"Jaune, if we don't stop them here-"

Ruby never got a chance to finish, she didn't have to. At that moment the blessed sound of chaingun fire began to drown out all other noises as Team CFVY descended on the chaos and it wasn't just them. Bullhead after Bullhead appeared bringing teams of student huntsman as well as professional huntsmen not only that but the Bullheads were also providing supporting fire. If that wasn't enough, Atlas cruisers were deploying the Atlassian Knights to provide extra firepower and a disposable frontline.

"Miss Rose, Mister Arc." Ruby and Jaune turned to see Professor Glynda Goodwitch who was looking at them with both relief and pride written all over her face. "Miss Rose you and the rest of Team RWBY have done well, go back to Beacon and rest. We will handle from here. For you Mister Arc, some Grimm have managed to break through. So I will assign you and other of the more mobile teams to hunt them down. Am I understood?"

"Yes, Ma'am!" Ruby and Jaune responded in unison.

When you are a Bounty Hunter the possibility of betrayal or an ambush is an undeniable fact, it's just a natural part of the profession. In fact, Tock could remember her dear Grandmum once claiming that it didn't matter whether you were a Bounty Hunter a Huntsman or a Mercenary, you were a Greenhorn until you have survived at least one betrayal and or ambush. Well, Captian Tock was no Greenhorn and her crew had already survived a fair share of ambushes and even some admittedly well-earned betrayals. Hell, they did more than survive! They learned! And it was thanks to one such lesson that they even came to Vale. They were here at their favorite shitty bar just to celebrate their latest and biggest success! Because even though lawmen and proper society rules could be a pain, they were also a shield.

But, then something happened. They weren't sure what happened but what they were sure is that it was bad, Grimm were always bad news. However even worse was the sick feeling in Tock's belly, the same feeling that she could see her crew were also having, the suspicion that they... were somehow responsible for this.

"Tock get your head in the game!"

The Crocodilian Huntress was shaken out of her thoughts by her crew who were waiting for orders. Should they ditch the bar they drinking in and run leaving the patrons and the rather dickish bartender at the mercy of those devils? Or do they play the role of heroes? Was that even an option anymore?

"They're coming!" shouted one of the patrons fearfully shouted upon spotting a Beowolf lurking just outside door having wandered into the alley where this bar was located. The fear emanating from the patrons must have caught its attention.

This, unfortunately, lead to a chain reaction of fear and panic from all of the citizens which naturally grabbed the attention of even more Grimm who were now converging on the establishment sealing the fate of all those who sought shelter within the walls of the bar which would soon be turned into a slaughterhouse. Without saying a word to each other Tock and her crew readied their weapons and began walking towards the door, their choice firmly made.

Team JNPR was on the hunt and so far it has been a wonderfully easy hunt, with nothing but a few small groups Grimm here and there. Team RWBY had done a wonderful job in keeping the Grimm back in addition local law enforcement with the aid of some Atlassian Knights had been able to defeat some of the Grimm themselves. Soon the invasion would be over and the city could begin healing.

"Wait over there! Look!" Pyrrha called out to the others who may have otherwise missed the group of about Thirty to Forty Grimm of various types who have concealed themselves in a surprisingly wide alleyway. It didn't take long for the rest of the team to gather and observe the situation. The Grimm were crowded at the end of an alleyway, a hanging sign informed the group that there was a bar located there. There were no signs of any survivors and given the number of Grimm present it wasn't likely that they would find any. Logic dictated that they simply carpet the area in explosives and be done with it, but what if there were was a survivor? The Grenades could kill them!

"Pyrrha, Ren get their attention and see if you can draw them away from the buildings. Nora when you have a clear shot, let them have it. Then we'll take out whatever is left!" With their orders issued Team JNPR got to work.

Using Miló's rifle mode Pyrrha began taking shots into the horde while Ren using his Semblance came in closer and unnoticed to the beasts and began showering them with a hailstorm of bullets from his Storm Flower pistols. It didn't take long for some of the Grimm to finally take notice and some Ursa attempted to pursue Ren but were blocked by a Pack of eager Beowolfs and Creepers who also rushed forward. However, the pile-up didn't last long as some Grimm simply climbed over the trapped ones and once those Grimm were free they began to chase Ren who had run out of the alleyway. and had followed Ren into the streets did Nora began to fire her Magnhild at the unware herd and the first wave was decimated. But without the smaller Grimm in the way the Ursa was able to break free from the rest of the herd and begin their charge, however, Team JNPR was ready opened fire on the charging Ursa aiming for their legs. The Ursas at the front of the charge fell other thanks to their wounds tripping up the rest of the Grimm behind them and the last thing any of those monsters saw was Team JNPR charging at them.

Tock ducked under the bone breaking swing of an Ursa Minor and took the opportunity to take her rapier and stab it through its foot which she immediately followed up with a rising swing from her cutlass which split Ursa's face in two instantly killing it. She then looked to her left and saw her hammer-wielding friend Cecco crushing a Creeper's skull while the eyepatch-wearing Mason provided covering fire with his rifle. On Tock's right was the Bar Counter and behind it was the mask-wearing Turley whose machetes were making short work of a lone Beowolf. Once Turley was done the four Bounty Hunters took the opportunity to take a look around the bar and noticed three things with the first being that everyone else had already successfully hidden within the back of the establishment where they ought to be safe provided that no does anything stupid. The second was related to the third and it was that the Grimm Horde was leaving them alone in order to fight another group that they could hear slaying them from outside the bar.

"Oi, Boss. Got any ideas?" Inquired Cecco.

"Well, les see love. On one hand, we can go round the back and sneak out of the bar, the people hiding in da back won't be needing us no more." Tock said while stroking her chin.

"The other option to go out the front entrance and assist with the fight. Though it wouldn't be of any benefit to us" Said, Turley while taking moment to fix his mask.

"Now you see Turley, das why I'm the leader and not you," Tock said with a wide grin that showed off the teeth that she was so proud of.

"And how am I wrong?"

"The deal is, security is gonna be extra tight for a bit, yeah? We try and sneak out now and we'll jus be giving our… former boss the heads up." Tock began walking toward the front entrance of the bar while wielding her swords. "But, we help clean things up now and when the time comes to leave, no one will stop us."

Mason was the first to understand what Tock was trying to say, "That bastard will be watching the city exits waiting for us to show our faces but, if we lay low. He'll think we bit the dust!" he declared excitedly.

"And if we make pals with some huntsmen, they might share a sweet tidbit of info." Cecco was now fully on board with Tock's plan.

"Now come on boys, les make some new friends and who knows, we might be heroes by of this," Tock said as she stepped outside to join the fight along with the rest of her crew.

Tock had a powerful semblance but, it came with a crippling weakness. For sixty seconds she could become invincible but, it needs to drain the entirety of her Aura reserves in order to fuel it. That's why she hadn't used it back in the bar, sure she could have slaughtered the Grimm inside within the sixty seconds but, then what about the Grimm waiting outside? Her minute of glory would have just left her vulnerable and with their captain to lead them who knew how well her crew could handle things. However, now they had reinforcements now they could go on the attack instead of playing defense; the tables have deliciously turned and so Tock set her alarm clock, licked her lips and let the Wankers have it.

On the other side of the carnage the Champion Pyrrha Nikos was almost dancing in between the beasts, cutting and stabbing and bashing them aside with her weapon of choice Miló and her shield Akoúo̱, alongside her was Nora swinging the Warhammer Magnhild in devastating arcs sending the monsters flying with each strike. Jaune was wielding his nameless rapier with a certain degree of skill being able to to stay out of danger's reach and striking back whenever the opportunity arose though it was clear that he still had much to learn and finally was Lie Ren living up to reputation as a ninja cutting and shooting with his duel pistols Strom Flowers while occasionally delivering devastating unarmed strikes.

The Grimm trapped between the two forces was quickly annihilated.

It was only after the violence was concluded did the two groups finally get a good look at each other and it only took a moment for Tock and her crew to notice that Jaune looked like a proper Corsair with the red coat he was wearing along with his hook hand and the fact that his weapon was rapier. Likewise, Team JNPR quickly noticed that Tock was also the very image of a scalawag wearing striped trousers and a corset while wielding a rapier in one hand and a cutlass in the other. "Oh my God, they are both Pirates!" Nora declared and with that, any intention of simply slipping away disappeared from the mind of Tock and her crew. After all, it wasn't every day that you met a fellow pirate and at the very least they were going to share some drinks with their "Colleagues."

Jaune woke up the next day in a hotel room with a killer hangover but, even then he was able to notice several important details. The first was that he wasn't wearing his hook hand prosthetic, a least I remembered to take it off before going to bed but, where is it? He couldn't see the arm from where he was laying but he could see his clothes on the floor which led to the second thing that he noticed and it was that he was naked. However, that was nothing compared to the third thing that he noticed and it was that he wasn't alone. There was an arm covered in light green scales resting right on his chest, following the arm Jaune soon found that it belongs to crocodilian Faunus Huntress and fellow "Pirate," Tock who was sleeping happily right next to him. Before he could do anything that arm resting on his chest pulled him closer the woman who was now embracing him in an unbreakable hug all still being asleep. There was no escape for Jaune.

"Captian's Log... Help."

Author's' Notes: This is a little side project that I would work on whenever I found myself stuck while writing Dead Last. I was originally going to post this stories literal months ago but I got wrapped up in a certain film project and when I did have the time I quickly found that the chapter I had written... was absolute shit. It took a while to make the changes and in future Author's Notes, I'll explain what the Orginal story was like and why I had to make the changes.
