I got this idea when I was listening to this song on the radio this morning. It made me think of Vash; and anyone who has heard this song shall agree with me. I suggest that you listen to this song to fully appreciate this fic, but I suppose it does not matter, does it? Just really know Vash and the other characters of Trigun, mmkay?

By the way, the song: "Beer for my Horses" by Toby Keith and Willy Nelson.

Disclaimer: You'd think, if I actually owned this awesome anime, it would be VERY screwed up! So, yes, I do not own Trigun.

Vash, Nicholas, Milly, and Meryl had all been out drinking for the night. It was a very good night and they were all celebrating their victory. They did not remember what they're victory was over because they were so drunk at that point, but they were still celebrating and drinking to their-now-unknown victory.

A cowboy was in the bar. He decided that everyone in the bar needed some music. Thus, he went over to the jukebox, put in some money and selected a song. The song was called "Beer for my Horses" by Toby Keith. Vash, who was sitting at the bar and had an almost empty pint of beer in his hand, held up the cup and smiled widely. "Oh, yeah! My kinda music!" Looking over at his companion Nicholas D. Wolfwood, he slurred his words as he said, "Hey, Nicholasss... let'ssss sssing thissss sssong togezer, a'ight?" Nicholas chuckled and smiled. He nodded his head. "A'ight, Vassshh." When the song started, they belted out the words. Vash sang as Toby Keith, Nicholas sang as Willy Nelson and Milly, Meryl and the rest of the bar chorused in on the chorus.

Vash: Well a man come on the 6 o' clock news/ Said somebody's been shot, somebody's been abused/ Somebody blew up a building/ Somebody stole a car/ Somebody got away/ Somebody didn't get too far, yeah/ They didn't get too far.

Nicholas: Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day son/ A man had to answer for the wicked that he'd done/ Take all the rope in Texas/ Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys/ Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

Everybody: Justice is the one thing you should always find/ You gotta saddle up your boys/ You gotta draw a hard line/ When the gun smoke settles, we'll sing a victory tune/ We'll all meet back at the local saloon/ We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces/ Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!

Vash: We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds.

Nicholas: Too much corruption and crime in the streets

Vash: It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground!

Nicholas: Send em all to their maker and he'll settle em down

Vash: You can bet he'll set em down, cause

Everybody: Justice is the one thing you should always find/ You gotta saddle up your boys/ You gotta draw a hard line/ When the gun smoke settles, we'll sing a victory tune/ We'll all meet back at the local saloon/ We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces/ Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses! Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!

Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses!

After the song was over, they all stood up with their glasses in hand and shouted together: "LOVE AND PEACE!!!!!!!"

---ending notes: This song fits Vash perfectly; well, except that part about killing. But it works!
