Leo navigated the Argo II with caution. He needed to make it back to Ogygia; he had to see her again. Whatever it took, he would do. Festus complained noisily about the storm. Dammit Poseidon, Leo thought, why do you decide to have a storm now?

After they defeated Gaia, Leo had dropped his friends back at camp, and somehow convinced Chiron to let him search for Calypso's island. The astrolobe lit up suddenly, and Leo knew he was close. Festus creaked and whirred as the storm reached its climax. The Argo II crashed into a bunch of rocks, sending Leo sprawling, and parts of the ship everywhere.

Either by luck or by fate, he landed on the shore of an island, coughing and spluttering up seawater. If he had just had Percy, everything would have been so much easier. Who knows, maybe he would have been able to convince some fish people to give them a lift to safety. "Calypso! Calypso!" Leo called, his voice ringing loud. Only later did he realise how stupid that was. For all he knew, some stinky, hungry hobo Cyclops lived there.

A few minutes later, however, an incredibly beautiful girl, who always took his breath away, rushed towards him and threw her arms around his neck. "Calypso," he murmured with joy as she almost toppled him over. Man, it was good to be back here. Calypso was crying, whether from joy or sorrow, Leo didn't know. Of course, Leo was incredibly distraught about his ship, and about Festus, but for that moment, he didn't care. He just needed Calypso.

She pulled back and punched him in the face. "I thought you were never coming back!" she shouted, but she sounded more happy and relieved than angry.
"Hey, always glad to visit the goddess of Caribbean music," Leo replied jokingly. Calypso punched him gently in the shoulder for that. "Is the fountain still working?" he asked her, following her back to the cave that was full of all the gemstones.

"It could use a reboot," was all she said. When they got to the cave, Leo was shocked. The fountain, which stood in front of the cave was totally destroyed. The top half looked like it had been used as a testing ground for Greek Fire, and had completely come apart from the base. The base looked like it had taken a beating from Coach Hedge and his baseball bat himself.

"A reboot? This isn't even salvageable! What happened?" he exclaimed in shock. Calypso looked down at the ground in embarrassment.
"I got a little…. Temperamental. Yes. Temperamental. That's a good word for it." She explained. Leo looked at her in amazement. He clapped her on the back. "Congrats, you just became the goddess of 'destroying things'." They both burst into laughter.

Once they finished the food that the invisible servants laid out for them, they lay down to sleep, Calypso nestled comfortably in Leo's arms. They had both got their fairy tale ending that night.
