MAX

"Just do it before I change my mind!" spoke the broken voice of her blue haired friend, the winds blew across Arcadia Bay. The whole tempest could be seen from the position they were currently in. Right under the lighthouse. Trees swayed in the wind, the lighthouse was falling to pieces along with the town. She held that one photo of the butterfly in her hand, just thinking of her choices. She could either let Chloe die or sacrifice the town...

"Max!" she felt a warm hand on her shoulder. "Do it now, it's time..." she looked back at her best friend, this was it, she had to do it. She couldn't let thousands of innocent people die just because she was selfish. Chloe had to die.

She stared down at the photo in her trembling hands. The cold rain didn't help much in this situation. She embraced her friend for the last time, savouring the moment. "I'll never forget you Chloe..." she mumbled into her shoulder. "You better not Caulfield!" the taller girl stepped away "Come on, finish it now"

Max looked down once again at the butterfly photo, it's strange how a little picture could alter the course of time, these pictures had so much power in them. She focused on the photo, until she heard Chloe's and Nathan's voice somewhere in her mind.

"Snap!" the photo came out, she slid down against the stall and pulled her knees in. She crossed her arms over her knees while planting her head there. She couldn't face this again. Could she run now? I don't really think so, someone was bound to shoot her if she tried...

A person walked in "It's cool Nathan! You're ok bro!" the monologue repeated, she heard these words multiple times, she quietly sobbed. "I hope you checked the perimeter like my step-ass would say" Chloe now joined the conversation."What do you want from me?" Nathan asked in that dangerous tone of his, she covered her ears blocking out the rest of the conversation right until she heard that bullet noise. She felt the vibration on the floor as a person fell, tears ran out of her eyes like waterfalls.

She ran out from the stall, attacking Nathan "You killed her! You killed Chloe!" he spun around shooting Max in the process.

She felt a sharp pain in her stomach, she watched her best friend bleed to her death, unmoving. At least she'll be resting peacefully, knowing her, burning shit in hell. And as those last thoughts crossed her mind, the world disappeared...
