A note before the story:

This story will follow canon very VERY loosely, as it is my AU, one in which Naruto is not a hero, Sasuke isn't Indra's reincarnation, and Hinata isn't completely useless. Many of the Konoha 11's teams will be shuffled around.

So, without further ado, here's my story. Enjoy!

The sound of Lightning could be heard along with the sound of strong gale force wind, along with the shouts of two Konoha ninja.

"Dakuudo!" A young man with long spiky hair as white as snow with grayish brown skin with bones sticking out of his back calls out, holding what appears to be a spear of crackling black lightning chakra, illuminating the three tomoe within his fully mature Sharingan surrounded by pitch black sclera.

"Moeru!" Another young man with long platinum blond hair and light brown skin calls out holding a rotating sphere of yellow chakra.

Both launch forward at each other from their respective perches atop the two statues of the Leaf Villages founders, Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju.

Red meets blue, spear meets sphere, as the two collide with one word respectively,

RASENGAN!

CHIDORI!

April 27

After 67 failed attempts, I have finally succeeded in combining the DNA of both Uchiha and Kaguya to create a perfect embryo. This will be my 68th subject. With the Kaguya and Uchiha bloodlines running through his veins, I have high hopes for this latest experiment. With the blood of the heir to the Uchiha Clan and the last surviving Kaguya, he shall grow to become the perfect vessel for me to live through in the future.

January 27

Subject 68 has finished developement. Further studies are being made to see if there are any defects to worry about. Though I fear that I may be discovered by the Hokage.

March 27

Subject 68 has responded positively to all tests that have been done. Kabuto and I are now looking into giving the boy an immunity to toxins. Should we run into Tsunade and her assistant, we shall have the advantage.

August 27

Subject 68 has now been given an immunity to most common poisons and toxins including alcohol.

September 13

I have been discovered by The Hokage, I have ordered Kabuto to move all of our important equipment and test subjects into our new base of operations in the land of rice. I'm forced to leave behind some of my subjects behind, including Subject 68. It's a pity to leave behind my perfect vessel, but it's inconsequential in comparison to my life.

Hokage Tower, Konoha-

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the third Hokage of Konohagakure and in many ways quite possibly the best Hokage the village has seen other than the Yellow Flash of the Leaf. He had been trained by the First and Second Hokage, and had trained the greatest three-man cell the village had ever turned out, The Legendary Sannin.

Tonight however, he had to make a big decision. A decision concerning a pillar of his village's strength. This person, who was one of the people who kept Konoha as the greatest of the five largest hidden-villages could be a traitor. Not only that but the person in question was like a son to him. Worst of all, according to his spy, the man had been experimenting on children in the village.

To make matters worse, the child that held the nine tailed fox, was now missing.

While Hiruzen was deep in thought, an Anbu with a dog mask shun-shined into his office. "Sir, we've successfully raided Orochimaru's hideout, the rest of the lab was abandoned, however we found a baby inside one of the tanks. One of the few files left in his lab refer to him as Subject 68.

"Thank you for the report Kakashi, you are dismissed."

When Kakashi had left, Hiruzen picked up the picture he had on his desk. Inside it's golden frame was a picture of a mischievous looking boy with white hair and a blonde girl with a smile, in the middle of those two was a slightly effeminate pale skinned boy with black hair.

"Oh how you've fallen, Orochimaru…" The old Sarutobi sighed wistfully.

Three hours prior , Orochimaru's lab several miles out of Konoha.-

The smell of decay was thick in the air as Kakashi stepped into yet another of the snake traitor' labs. It was just like all of the other's, dark, damp and filled with equipment he didn't understand, and he wasn't sure that he wanted to.

This one was set up more like a corridor than a room though, with what must've been hundreds of large tubes filled with a strange green liquid that bubbled as they passed. Floating in each tube was a small shriveled thing that at some point might've been a human baby, attached to a cord implanted into their stomachs that connected them to a tank set above into the roof. Three of the ANBU that had come with him had threw up when they saw the bodies of children some of which could have been their own.

Along with a group of ten ANBU Kakashi had stormed the labs, only to find Orochimaru was already gone and most of his research gone with him. After that they started to look around the facility, trying to find survivors of the sick experiments.

So far they'd found 6, and were forced to kill all of them. The things that had been done to them were too much for them to handle, they had begged for death, to be released from their pain, the copycat-ninja had given it to them. It had been the least he could do.

In one of the many other tunnels, he'd found a large tube: one that had a baby inside that had a shock of white hair.

-8 years later-

"Moeru!" A man dressed in the standard Chunin uniform shouted at a boy in the top row of a classroom. "Wake up!"

"Yaaawn! What now sensei?" A boy with a shock of spikey white hair says, rubbing his teal eyes.

"Since you're so caught up that you can afford to sleep, you can explain to me what a Chakra mutation is?"

"Whatever." Moeru sighs. "A Chakra mutation is a variation in somebody's body and or chakra that may affect your appearance or even give you special abilities known as Kekkei Genkai. For example my red Birthmarks." He explains, pointing to his face.

Moeru's appearance was; for the most part, as normal as any other kid. Other than the red markings on his eyelids that went just past his eyes, and the red dots on his forehead. These were supposedly the results of a mutation in his Chakra which caused these markings to appear. If you ask Moeru he'd say they were cool.

"Okay...good job Moeru, just don't let it happen again." Iruka said going back to the lesson.

After going into Chakra mutations for another hour, Iruka decided to start another lesson.

"Alright class, today we'll be doing Taijutsu exercises outside." Iruka says. "But, before that, I'd like to introduce a new student to the class, Dākuudo Uzumaki." At those words a boy with sun kissed blonde hair and sharp green eyes walked in.

"Hello everyone, I'm Dākuudo. I was born in Konoha, however I've been traveling with my mother since I was born, so I've never actually lived here, I hope we can all be friends." Dākuudo says with a smirk as everyone looks on with an incredulous expression, before walking up the stairs and sitting down in the seat in front of Moeru.

All the girls excluding the Hyuuga heir, Hinata, to the boys' outrage, all started to get hearts in their eyes. "He's so cute!" "Dākuudo, go out with me!"

And Dākuudo, like the perfect gentleman he is, respectfully declined all of them. But this caused them to get worse, "He's such a gentleman!" A
pink haired girl in the front called out.

"Alright everyone, I know it's exciting, but for now let's all file outside." Iruka says trying to get everyone to calm down. "Hai Sensei!" They all say as they follow him outside.

When everyone gets outside, Iruka takes role, and then explains the exercise they're to do. "Now, you're all going to be put into pairs. Whoever you're paired with will engage in a spar with you. You win once you've pinned your opponent or knocked them from the ring."

"The first pair will be...Dākuudo and...Moeru." He says looking at the two. "You two step up to the ring and make the seal of confrontation."

"Um, Sensei." Dākuudo says poking his fingers together. "Yes Dākuudo?" Iruka answers. "What's a seal of confrontation?" He asks sheepishly.

The whole class sweat drops at this. "Well, Dākuudo, the seal of confrontation looks like this", he says putting index and ring fingers up. "It's the symbol of combat and is a universal sign of engagement between shinobi."

"Hai, got it sensei!"

The two boys step up and both put their hands up in the seal and then get into their individual fighting stances. Though everyone is quite astounded at their choices in stance.

"Is that the…" "Yeah, I think it is." "But he's not a Senju...is he?"

The two were standing in the famed Intāseputā no ken and Sēji no ken stances respectively. These two stances were the very same techniques that the Senju and Uchiha clans used before they both went extinct. How Dākuudo knew the Sēji no ken was a complete mystery. Everybody knew Moeru was living with an Uchiha, so there wasn't exactly a mystery as to where he learned to fight .

"Alright, you two. You may now...begin." Iruka says, signaling for them to start.

At the word "begin" the two kicked off towards each other, when they meet in the middle of the ring their forearms crash against each other. Moeru, not wasting any time, swung his fist at Dākuudo face only for his fist to be blocked. "What? Nobody has ever blocked an attack from me. He's different than the rest." Dākuudo, using his momentary distraction to his advantage, kicked him in his chest, throwing him back a bit. Moeru grit his teeth and roundhouse kicked his opponent in his chin.

Moeru, then grabbed him by his leg and threw him back onto the ground, where he attempted to pin him down, but Dākuudo rolled out of the way, and kicked his feet out from under him, then he rolled over and jumped on top of him, pinning one of his arms to the side, and throwing a punch at his face, before stopping mere inches from his face. Moeru continued to struggle but failed in the face of his opponent's superior strength.

"Winner of the match, Dākuudo Senju!" Iruka calls out, with a slightly surprised look on his face. The same look that most of the class had on their faces.

"All right you two, make the seal of reconciliation." And they did, though Moeru had a look of...excitement.

"No way…" "Nobody ever beats Moeru…" "Correction, nobody's ever beat Moeru…"

Up until this moment in his life, nobody had ever beat him in a straight taijutsu battle. Moeru was somewhat of a prodigy, being good at nearly everything, excluding bojutsu. As a clanless orphan he was expected to be worse than everyone else, but he eventually surpassed everyone's expectations and became the strongest in his year.

And this was the first time anybody had ever beaten him at anything since...well, ever. And he wasn't exactly happy about it.

After it was time for everyone to go home, Moeru was gathering his things to go home, and was about to head out when Dākuudo approached. "Hey, I never properly introduced myself. I'm Dākuudo Uzumaki, nice to meetcha." He says extending a hand. Looking at the hand, a scowl made its way onto Moeru's face, as he slapped away the blonde's outstretched hand.

"You think I'd wanna be friends with someone like you?" The whitette says with a sneer. "The fact you've beaten me in a fight means nothing."

And with that he leaves the room, leaving the blonde behind him with a look of confusion.

"What just happened?" Dākuudo said looking at his hand with a bewildered expression.

"So you got mad? Moeru what have I told you about being a sore loser?" A tall man with a scarred face and unruly black hair, wearing the standard Konoha Flak Jacket asked squatting down to Moeru's level.

"I know Obito, it's just that I've worked so hard to get to where I am, only to have this new blonde punk show up and beat me." Moeru said with his arms crossed.

"Look kid, I know the feeling trust me, you know when I was a kid I was in your exact same situation. And you know what I did?"Obito asked looking at the academy student with his black eye.

"What?" Moeru asked genuinely interested.

"I got better, and unlike you I wasn't insanely talented as a child." Obito said with a smile, poking the young whitette.

"Oh come on I'm not that talented." Moeu said.

"On the contrary my young friend, you're extremely 's no other kid from your class who is skilled enough to start learning elemental ninjutsu." Obito said with a proud smirk.

"But I havent started on…" Moeru started as something clicked in his head.

"Wait! You mean I get to finally learn to do jutsu!" He exclaimed with uncharacteristic exuberance.

"Yep, I was gonna wait until your birthday but, I figured you were ready now." Obito confirmed with a big smile. "But, first we've got to learn what style you'd be good at using."

"But how do we figure that out?" Moeru asked with his cocking his head to the side.

"Well, to figure that out, we'll be using...this." Obito said pulling out a thin, beige sheet of paper.

"Cool. How does it work though?" The whitette asked.

"All you have to do is transfer a small bit of your chakra into the paper, and then depending on what your particular style is, a reaction will occur." Obito explained while pushing a slight amount of chakra into his sheet of chakra paper. His sheet of paper then started to burn and crumble into black bits. "In my case, my natural affinity is fire. If my chakra nature were to be wind the paper would cut in half, if it were lightning the paper would crumble, and if it were earth the paper would simply become dust."

"Can I try?" Moeru asked looking at the paper.

"Why of course young Moeru." Obito said, handing the boy a sheet of paper. "Now, all you have to do is push your chakra into the paper. Imagine your chakra as a hose, all you have to do is turn it on."

"O-okay, I'll try." Moeru said, closing his eyes. 'Okay Moeru, focus, all you have to do is push your chakra out. Shouldn't be too hard.' He thought. With his eyes still closed the boy's hands started to glow a soft blue color, before the glow started to transfer into the paper. Feeling something softly warm softly prodding at his hands, he opened his eyes to see that part of the chakra paper had solidified into an almost bone like substance. ⅓ of the paper had burnt away while part of it crinkled up.

"U-um, Obito? What does this mean?" The white haired boy said looking at his caretaker with a perplexed expression.

"I don't know...I know what the flaming and crinkling bits mean, but that other part…" Obito said with a confused expression of his own. "Well, for the parts that I do know, you have an affinity toward lightning and fire style chakra. Lightning is rather rare in the land of fire. Luckily for you I know techniques from both styles."

"Wait, but how? I thought you could only learn techniques from your own style." Moeru said confused.

"You can learn techniques of any style, it'll just be harder for you to learn and use than someone who had an affinity toward that particular style." Obito explained. "Having access to the sharingan also certainly helps." He added with a small grin.

"Yeah...the sharingan." Moeru asked recalling the red eye he remembered both from Obito's own use of the eye, and from a dream he'd had long ago.

"Well since you have a dual affinity we're going to start you off on two exercises." Obito started as he stood up. "Follow me to the training grounds." The Uchiha said before the two left to head toward the training ground.

In the Uchiha Clan compound, there was a large training field where one could practice most jutsu of their choice.

"Your first exercise will be to light this leaf on fire." Obito said holding up a fallen light.

"How exactly is that gonna help me learn any jutsu?" Moeru asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It'll help you to get a better feel for fire style chakra. You'll do this exercise until you can light the leaf in under 5 seconds."

Obito said holding up the leaf. "To use fire chakra, just imagine your chakra as an unlit match, all you have to do is force said match to catch on fire."

"Alright, Obito. I'll get this down in no time!" Moeru exclaimed grabbing the leaf and sitting cross legged on the ground.

"That's the spirit!"
