Prologue: Evaluation
They were nearing the end of their Crew list and Captain Anderson knew it. The Helmsman was an obvious choice, Joker would be a very valuable addition to the crew. Navigator Pressly was also a sound suggestion given by Admiral Hackett. He was loyal and faithful and deserved to be on the Normandy. Engineer Adams, a addition suggested by the Ambassador was also a strategic addition to the crew. Doctor Chakwas was uaninmously suggested by all three men to serve as the Normandy's Doctor, she was bright, loyal and overall and excellent choice. Kaidan Alenko, one of the men picked for the ground team, was a decorated and seasoned Biotic who would definitely prove to be a sound addition. Richard L. Jenkins, a new recruit would also strive to prove himself on the mission and most likely go above and beyond the call of duty also was one of the better choices for the ground team. Now for the Chief Executive Officer...
Udina brought up one of the first prospects, Commander John M. Shepard. "Well,what do we think?"
Captain Anderson immediately spoke up "The Hero of the Skyllian Blitz deserves this position, he was born to be a soldier, spent probably 90 of his life on stations and ships with his parents who were both in the Navy, the Galaxy is going to need a hero and Shepard fits."
Admiral Hackett nodded, as did Ambassador Udina " You're right captain Shepard deserves to be part of the crew, now I do believe we're-"
"One second Ambassador, before we finish there's one person I want to add, both the Alliance and Council want him around Shepard at all times, as extra insurance...Orion Sinclair." Admiral Hackett added.
Both the captain and ambassador spoke up "No, absolutely not! There's no way we're letting that lunatic even near Shepard or the Normandy, give him an Assault Rifle and he'll just club you to death with it!"
Admiral Hackett smiled "Ah, but that's the thing, Sinclair's brutality and ferocity will be a great asset to Shepard, even the Krogan respect his strength. Once Orion fully trusts Shepard he'll be the best "Insurance" the Alliance and Council wants. Now I agree that he's a bit unstable and quick to anger, but his Brute Force is a power unmatched by any Human. Sure, he's cold and unemotional, yet this only strengthens how he's able to use his abilities. He'll serve truly despite what you think Ambassador, he has an unusual sense of personal Honor and always fights for what he believes in. Now Captain I understand you don't exactly trust his tactical "prowess", yet that'll be Shepard's job, not his."
"You put up an excellent point Admiral, even though I don't like it, Sinclair's the best we've got, the only one we've got, I'll make sure to add him to the crew's list then." Udina said.
Captain Anderson sighed, "I guess you're right Hackett, unfortunately Orion is the perfect fit for this particular job. He's just what Shepard and Nihilus will need for this mission."
Ambassador Udina spoke up "So we all agree on this crew list?" The three men nodded their heads, "Then I'll start making calls, and in Sinclair's case pull strings."
