Author: Jade M. Kitsune
Title: College
Warnings: Just the usual warning that applies to a shonen-ai fanfiction. If you don't like male/male relationships, I advise you to not read it. Flames will be used to warm up my house during the winter and to roast marshmallows, for smores, during camping.
Pairings: 12/21 (Friendship... will gradually become more I suppose)
Disclaimers: I do not own Gundam Wing or any of its characters.
He sat on the bed across the room, with his legs crossed. The only part of his body that was remotely bare was his face and feet. I couldn't quite see his face because of those ridiculously long bangs, but they accentuated his elfin face well. I loved how the wisps of hair curled delicately against his pronounced cheekbones. It wasn't only the bangs that intoxicated me, but his braid as well. Yes, he has a braid, a meter long one to be exact. The braid itself, had a life of its own... currently, it was lying on the boys right shoulder and trailing down. He rubbed his nose with the length of his sleeve. I doubt that the shirt was his, the sleeves and the length of the shirt was ridiculously long; he looked like an apprehensive child.
I stopped typing to scratch the itch on the back of my left hand. He looked up from his sketchbook and glanced at my direction, noticing the staccato of my laptop keyboard had ceased. His eyes bored into mine, they were a peculiar color, making me wonder if they were his real eye color or they were violet because of those damn cosmetic contacts...
I glared at him, hopping he would look away, those eyes made me feel uneasy. My stomach fluttered every time he spoke or looked at me...
He smiled... no smirked and went back to sketching in that dog-eared sketchbook. My hands twitched when he started to sing under his breath. I wished he would actually sing... His voice was so soothing...
"Hey, why'd you stop typing?" he asked.
"I was actually getting used to the sound of your laptop, it sorta makes my brain click ya' know?" he drawled, and then went back to humming that nameless tune again.
I grunted then went back to typing up my Physics lab.
"Aren't you going to do your lab?" I asked him.
He gasped and hit his head with the back of his hand.
"My gosh! He actually talks!" he dramatically exclaimed and clutched at his chest.
"I think I'm going into cardiac arrest, call the ambulance!" he squeaked.
I snorted and kept typing, not expecting him to answer.
He twirled his bitten pencil and stuck it behind his ears after he had put his sketchbook away. Then he cracked his long finger and plopped himself onto the bed.
"I already did it." he said casually, not offended by my jumping into conclusions.
Later on I was quite surprised at how diligent this carefree beauty was. He didn't seem like the type to be an academic pursuer. But looks can deceive a person. I was, not that I'll ever admit it, jealous of his natural knowledge of things.
I, Heero Yuy, felt very foolish. And as embarrassing as it was, also hormone driven. I was in love with this boy, my roommate... but you know what? For a person as smart as I supposedly am, I felt pretty brainless. I didn't even know his name!
I was in a stupid mood... Well I want to do a sort series of them in college...
