When she walks into the garage, he is standing against the work bench, waiting for her. Immediately she feels something is wrong. His smile is a sneer and his arms and ankles are crossed. She bites her lip, wringing her hands. The silence, which usually feels light and comforting, feels threatening today.

After what seems like hours, he speaks, "you wanted to see me." It is not a question.

"Um... yeah."She feels nervous, a feeling she never associate with Jacob.

"Why, Bella?" She is taken aback by this.

"Wh-Why? What do you mean?" She looks up for a second before continuing to study the floor.

"It's a fair question, Bella." His voice is so cold. He is never cold.

She does not answer so he continues, "why do you come here, Bella?" He is demanding now.

"I-I wanted to see you," she stammers.

"Yes. But why? As I recall, I'm not the one you need. So why do you do this to me? Why do you come here when you know it hurts me? When you know I want you?"

"I-I'll go..." she whispers. Tears are starting to build in her eyes now.

"No." Her steps falters as he denies her exit in, what must be, his Alpha voice. "Answer me, Bella. Do you enjoy breaking me? Look. At. Me." The last words is a command.

She obeys. His eyes are dark, jaw clenched, face grim. His arms are at his sides now, his hands in fists.

"N-no. You-you are my best friend, Jake."

She knew this would happen in the end. She knew he would get tired of her, using him. She knew this. And yet, she still has to come here. She still has to see him. Why is that, she asks herself. He is my sun, a small voice in her head answers. He was my sun, she corrects herself. But she does not need a sun now. Edward is back.

"I won't come back," she says. "I will go now and not come back, if that's what you need."

Once again she starts towards the truck. Once again he stops her.

"Bella, I need you. I want you." His voice is a bit softer now.

"But... you can't have me." She is looking down again. A tear has now escaped her eye.

"Why, Bella, why can't I have you?" The softness is gone again.

"I-I need Edward. You know I need him."

"Then why, Bella, why do you keep coming here? If he's all you need, why am I still in your life?" His eyes are so black, his face stony.

"Because-" She clears her throat and tries again. "Because I like being with you. You're my best-"

"Friend. Yeah, I heard." He laughs. It sounds hard and cold.

She hates this side of him. She can not help thinking again that this is Sam's Jacob, not hers. Hers. She has to stop thinking of him like that. After all, what claim does she have on him, really? None. And when he imprints she really can not call him hers anymore.

"Why do you do that? He's back, remember?" He nods towards her arms that she has unconsciously wrapped around her chest.

"I-I have to go." She turns around, stumbling slightly as she hurries out of the garage.

"Missing him already, are you?" Jacob yells after her.

She is almost at the door of her truck now. Suddenly she feels his hand on her shoulder spinning her around and before she can say anything, Jacob has crushed his lips against her own.

At once she feels as if she has butterflies in, not only her stomach, but her whole body. Her skin erupts in goosebumps and a pleasant shudder goes through her. Without thought, her lips parted, allowing Jacob entrance. His hand that is nested in her hair pulls suddenly, then relaxes, as his tongue feels along her lower lip, hesitating slightly, before finding her own tongue. She feels a tingling between her legs. She wants him, wants him bad. As she feels herself getting wet however, he draws away from her.

"Bye, Bella," he whispers in her ear. With a smirk he leave her standing by her truck and has already closed the door to the house, before she can unfreeze.
