Author's Notes: oh man how do endings work?

Nana had been cleaning around the house. She had already done the bathroom, Tsuna's playroom, and her own bedroom. She was currently working on the living room. Tsuna had been situated on the couch, a toy in his hand distracting him for a while.

Nana hummed to herself as she swept the floor. She was almost done with the living room, then the only the kitchen would be left. It would be fairly easy for her, thank heavens. A small sound brought her out hoof her own thoughts. She looked over to her child and smiled: Tsuna had dropped his toy and was currently trying to get it himself. Nana set the broom down and moved to set Tsuna on the ground. She had already swept that part of the room so it was okay.

After setting him down, Nana continued with her cleaning. She could hear Tsuna's non-coherent rambling before they all of a sudden stopped when he grunted. She turned to look at him, half expecting him to be sitting down. But to her surprise, Tsuna was standing up!

He had his hand on the small coffee table beside him for support. Nana stood up straight and stared at her son in shock. Tsuna had never stood up by himself for so long. He usually lasted a good ten of fifteen seconds before his chubby legs would give out and he would land on his butt. But no, not is time. Tsuna was standing, and it had been a full thirty seconds by now!

Nana wasn't sure what she should do. Should he go look for her camera? Oh, but she would probably miss Tsuna's first step! Her thoughts were frantic, going every which way before she was suddenly pulled from her thoughts. Tsuna's incoherent babbling had started again, and he looked like he was ready to move.

Nana made up her mind and sat down a few paces away from Tsuna with her legs crossed. She held outher arms towards him and cooed, "Come to mama, Tsuna!" Tsuna smiled at the sight of his mother and his rambles grew louder. "Gyaah!" He wobbled back and forth before stealing himself once more. He took a step with his right foot, and then his left.

Nana could believe this! Her baby was taking his first steps, oh if only her husband could see this! "Come on Tsuna! You can do it," she wiggled her fingers at him and made grabby hands. His steps grew more confident and he giggled loudly.

So close, he's so close. Tsuna brushed past Nana's finger tips and screamed in happiness. Nana's smile was so big her cheeks were starting to hurt. "Come on Tsuna, just a few more steps!" Tsuna finally made it to her mother, crashing straight into her chest. Nana wrapped her arms around her child and fell backwards. "Oh Tsuna I'm so proud of you!" She was so ecstatic that she almost missed the phone ringing.

Now who could calling in the middle of the day?

She picked herself up, along with Tsuna, and walked to it. "Hello, this is the Sawada residence," she answered.

"Aha, I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that."

Nana smiled once more as she recognized the voice. "Oh Iemitsu, darling! You just missed Tsuna's first steps!"
