Notes: First fan fic, thought I needed something short to get me started. I'm guessing most people will know who is on the other side of the line long before the end. Hope you like it and review, I would deeply appreciate it!
(Of course I don't own a thing and I am not making any money out of this.) I'm new, so be kind!
(A cell phone rings in the middle of a very cheerful reunion. After the green key is hit, the following conversation takes place)
-I did it.
-I was waiting for you to call!
-I did it!
-I know you did! It's kind of big news all over the world, man! Let me tell you, I'm really, really proud of you, it is absolutely fantastic and after all these months of camp…
-Hold on, that's not what I meant. True, I did that, and I am amazed and proud and immensely satisfied and positively scared about it. But that's not what I meant.
-Then…?
-I .did. IT.
-What?
-IT!
-What do you….
-...
-...OH MY GOD! Wait a minute, you…? This is so great! Josh, you actually managed to say the words?
-Yeah
-Wow… and she said them back?
-Of course.
-Are you wearing the I'm da man smirk?
-I think this one goes beyond…
-Well, you should. You deserve this, actually both of you deserve it after all this time. And of course, you also deserve that other thing, this man IS the real thing.
-Yeah, he is.
-Oh my god, you actually did it. You've gotta let me call CJ, she'll be screaming in joy when she finds out. I might even get her to sing The Jackal over the phone, that is if she's not already doing it after the electoral results.
-Well, I myself feel like bursting into song right now, man!
-Please, do refrain! Listen Josh, I've got to go, I'm throwing a Santos celebratory party in the office and it might be getting a little out of hand. You did a hell of a campaign buddy, and it will be a whole new hell starting Inauguration Day on that House. But I know you'll be fine, not only because you know how to deal with the place, but mainly because you finally, finally after all these years and all that lame denial, did IT. Congratulations. I've got to run now, send Donna my best, and call me soon ok?
-Fine, and thanks….…. hey!
-yeah?
-It's just… I've never been happier, Sam.
