Nostalgia of the Forgotten
Tsuna can conjure a thousand ideas about the truth of the ancient compound she took shelter in the middle of the rain, but to be the home of a group of an almost enigmatic clan of vampires was definitely not one of them. Fem!Tsuna and Vampire!Guardians. AU
"I'll be going this way, then, Tsuna-chan!" A girl with auburn hair cheerfully informed her companion as she walked towards the other road in the narrow pathway.
The brunette girl simply gave a wave as she stopped and watched her friend fade away from her view and then she took a deep breath and decided to start walking towards the way to her house, her feet meeting the cemented ground on her path.
After a few minutes of walking all alone in the road, a strong gust of wind blew and stopped her from her tracks. As she shivered because of the almost frozen temperature brought by the sudden gust of wind, she looked up to the sky and gave a loud, "Eh?!"
The peaceful, rose-tinted sunset from earlier was beginning to be tainted by dark, ominous clouds.
As she broke through her seeming trance, she shook her head and decided to run back to her house, only for rain to pour heavily the minute she was back on track. She bit her lips and looked up, and she noticed that the dark clouds were now hovering up above her, tiny flashes of lightnings crackled as a thunder rumbled near a distance.
As she cursed her luck, she used her bag to cover the top of head and hoped that it would give somewhat protection from the raging storm. She looked to her left and to her right, her gaze passed the blinking lampposts that are scattered and surprised herself when she noticed that there was only one place that she can run to if she wants to stop being drenched from the pouring rain.
The ancient, rumored to be haunted compound of mansions.
In her mind, she weighed out the pros and cons. She would definitely not list out the chances of a ghost or entity living there but she was so drenched and about to collapse that her common sense flew out of the window.
Taking in large breaths, she steadied herself and ran to the gate of the compound, where a small shelter was located, probably a guard house of sorts. She tried to open the room to no avail.
Her sense returning to her, she looked at the sky and saw that she needed shelter. Fast. There were a few moments of silence and as she gulped, she did what could have been the biggest mistake of her life.
She pushed the doorbell right beside the gate.
A/N: This is short but I do think that it's somewhat appropriate because this is only a prologue. Aside from that, I am sad to say that I am such a jerk. I've made promises that I've broken, and honestly, I have no sense of updates. SO. I would be really pleased and grateful if someone would be willing to beta for me and you know, knock some sense into me at times. That's all, thank you. I do love reviews, favorites and alerts ;)
