The comet observatory sailed effortlessly through the dark reaches of space passing by many bright stars lighting the platform up as Rosalina sat in the gardens of the ship surrounded by the fluffy star shaped Lumas. She was just wrapping up an old fairytale book she picked up from her last visit to the mushroom kingdom knowing the Lumas would enjoy such a tale, practically becoming a regular nightly routine.
"The end" she said closing the book with star shaped children cheering and clapping before spinning around her effortlessly in the air.
"Another story please" they begged repeatedly as Rosalina stood from her chair with a smile forming.
"Perhaps tomorrow night, but it's time for bed now" she said while looking up as the Lumas gave a her a sulking look with puppy eyes staring into her.
"Come now children, I'll tuck you all in for bed" she said walking forward with the stars floating behind her.
After a few minutes she walked back out into the gardens with only the vast ocean of stars hanging above causing her to smile once more as she made her way to the main hub of the observatory. Reaching the control room, she looked at the current course they were moving in seeing something catch her eye instantly. Turning the interface, she saw something was on collision course with the observatory, perhaps a stray comet she thought as she looked closer. At the first viewing the observatory wasn't due to meet this approaching object until a few weeks at best, but now showed only days suddenly turning to hours to eventually minutes away. Quickly turning off the course projector she moved outside looking out into the vast empty space once more gasping at the sight.
Just a few clicks away a huge metal ship approached drawing close to the observatory with each passing second causing Rosalina to tense up. A short booming noise emitted off the ship as it drew near before stopping suddenly causing Rosalina to pull out her star shaped wand. She watched as a metal pod broke off from below the main ship and started to move towards her landing just a few feet away in the gardens. A click sounded as the pod doors opened up with a tall figure stepping out as she watched silently. She noticed it was an alien with thick purple skin that wore a sleek black metal outfit with a wavering red cape hanging around him as he walked forward giving her a wicked smile that only sent chills down her spine.
"Princess Rosalina of the cosmos, it's an honor to finally meet you" He said dropping on his knee before bowing his head down.
"What business do you have here coming uninvited?" Rosalina said bluntly causing the alien's head to look up showing that wicked smirk once more.
"I have come to discuss a proposition with you" He said standing back up.
"I'm sure you know who I am and heard many tells about my accomplishments" he said causing Rosalina to scoff.
"I know who you are Tatanga, you're a warlord set on conquering endless planets to do your bidding" she said turning away as she crossed her arms, "Please leave my observatory at once, this is a place of peace for the Lumas".
"Sorry Princess, but I'm not going anywhere" he said snapping his finger.
Suddenly from the ship another metal pod dropped down crashing into the garden causing Rosalina to turn around seeing three more aliens step out wearing similar armor that Tatanga wore. The first one out had a blue face with pointed ears and wore a cocky expression. Right beside him stood a bulkier red alien who towered over the rest while wielding a huge metal hammer, he wore heavy black armor that ruffled with each step he took. The last one out was a slenderer yellow skinned alien who slithered behind the three wielding shiny daggers between her gloved fingers.
"Elite troops Bako, Mako, and Serah, give the Space Princess a proper greeting" Tatanga ordered.
Rosalina tense up as the three ran forward spreading out to surround her. Spinning her wand, she watched as Bako made the first move pulling out his stun gun. Rosalina flew up avoiding the blast as Bako yelled in frustration. Taking her chance, she pointed her wand sending a blast of light at the attacker causing him to yelp as he flew back into the ground.
"Don't forget about me!" Serah called out as sharp pains ran up Rosalina's back.
Rosalina spun around with the daggers fading away instantly as she made her way back to the ruined garden grounds. Stepping foot on the ground she was meet with retaliation from Mako who swung his heavy hammer down leaving a small crater in front of Rosalina.
"That was supposed to hit you!" Mako yelled as he lifted his hammer once more grunting.
Rosalina easily avoided the swing once more as she flew away back in the air preparing another attack.
"Got you now Princess!" Serah said as she pulled out another set of daggers and threw her hand out.
Rosalina quickly turned forming a small shield of light reflecting the daggers off. Suddenly Rosalina felt a sicking feeling wash over her as a ringing noise filled her ears, turning she saw Bako holding his gun with a wide smile.
"Got her boss, it's my signature move after all" Bako said spinning his gun in his fingers before holstering it as Rosalina fell to the ground with a thump.
"Again, with those "signature" moves" Serah said clearly annoyed as she walked over to Rosalina grabbing her star wand.
"Here is my signature move" Mako said suddenly swinging his hammer down hitting Rosalina in the back sending her further into the ground.
"Dude what is wrong with you, did you just kill her?" Bako asked.
"She's just unconscious…I hope" Serah said as she looked into the crater.
"Well done troops, an impressive performance" Tatanga said as he approached lightly clapping.
"Princess Rosalina is a tough vessel, she will pull through that unnecessary attack" he said shooting Mako a stern look.
"Now let's proceed with the plan, Serah take Rosalina to the ship and secure her for stasis" Tatanga said.
Serah gave a nod as she swooped up Rosalina taking her to the small pod.
"Bako and Mako follow me, we have one more thing to secure" Tatanga said as he started walking towards the building just past the ruined gardens where the Lumas stayed in.
From the windows of the building many of the Lumas looked on in terror only causing the three aliens to smirk as they stepped closer.
"My revenge can finally begin against that red plumber who wronged me so long ago and after that the galaxy will be ours for the taking"
