A/N: The '-' mean an indent for a new paragraph. Apparantly, paragraphing is illegal in the world of fanfiction. (:n.n:)
-It's raining.
Tonight it's raining within the darkness of night,
Flashes of lightening accompanied by the distant thunder.
Some people hate the rain.
And the night.
Is it because they cannot see?
Everything seems so much better in the light doesn't it?
Or is it that when the lights go out that people are unable to see what might come?
In the light, we can see the truth.
The deadly, horrible, sinister, beautiful, absolute truth.
But when it's dark you only know it's there,
And maybe that's why some people can't sleep at night.
-The night is serene.
The darkness and the rain soothes, but the harsh glow of the lamps are painful to the eye.
False illumination.
It makes the scene so dreary, so dead.
But it's light, and people need light to see.
False illumination.
Does fake light produce fake reality?
The rain is calming.
Lulling the senses but not the mind, it is free to wander off into the darkness.
So easy it is to lose oneself on this night.
Oh so easy.
But the lamps bring you back again.
People need light to see,
They always need light to see.
Darkness is so overpowering without it.
False illumination squashes the darkness,
Sends it to the back of your mind.
But that's all it does.
And it is fake.
-The rain is rejuvenating.
Hearing it pitter patter.
Pitter.
Patter.
Pitter.
Patter.
We are given our own light to see by, one that is not artificial.
One that penetrates darkness.
Lightening fills the sky, throwing darkness into deep contrast.
We see past the fake reality –if only for a moment.
The truth is seen through darkness.
It is there the whole time.
Scary isn't it?
But why are we so afraid?
Pitter. Patter. Pitter. Patter.
Pit-
-ter. Pat-
-ter.
A beautiful and deadly night it is tonight.
Mystery, and truth, and distortion.
Clarity.
Much is known, more is unknown.
So many intriguing concepts to challenge.

-It's still raining.
A/N: Ok, I kind of lied…'Distance' will not be seeing an update "soon" but it is still on the to-do list. This was something I came up with while it was raining one night and I was coming back from a class. At my dorm there was a lake and around it everything was lit up with these obnoxious lights and the buildings all had the same light too, it got me thinking.
For this, I picture my private muse …who is one of the characters… could be thinking this…but I like the secrecy and I like hearing people's opinions on the matter so consider this a mystery. (:n.n:)
For those of you who are brave: I
dare you people to make sense out of this and leave me with a review
of what you came up with and who you thought it was talking…Although
if you don't want to stress yourselves, I wouldn't mind a review
anyway!
