"Hello this is channel 11 news. I'm Kate Beach with a breaking announcement." He sighed. They had all been watching the game...what was so important about a news broadcast. If they we're all brutally slain by a run away convict...at least let them die in peace. He sighed once more and continued his work. "Today at 7:00 pm MST. We we're given clearance to meet with a Colonel O'Neill" His buddy turned his to study his face. This was big.
"Hi everyone" Sam said smiling.
"I thought you said" One of his friends said questioningly. But he was cut off by a shush.
"I'm Colonel Samantha Carter O'Neill. I work for the united States Air Force at Cheyenne Mountain complex, in Colorado Springs"They gave him more looks then turned back to watch.
"I understand that the president has given you the honor of announcing this to the locals...before it's announced to the world" Kate said excitedly.
"Actually. In ten minutes the President will be giving an official announcement. But he wanted me to set the stage. He asked me to come to Washington...give an address...but I'm 7 months pregnant..so there is no chance of that" Sam and the reporters laughed.
"So this is playing all over the world as we speak" The reporter said.
"And then some" Sam and the reporter laughed again.
"Please tell all the veiwers...what's so important that it must be given all around the world." The reporter said.
"Well. Where should I start?" Sam asked "There are years of things to cover"
"Start from the beginning" The reporter said.
"Well. Thousands of years ago. The Ancient Egyptians held an uprising...and buried an artifact ..in 1928...one Dr.Langford...unburied the device. In 1945 they tested this device on one Ernest Littlefield. In 1995 Catherine Langford called in Dr.Daniel Jackson...to help translate the devices cover stone. He then activated the device. Him a, team of specialists and Colonel Jack O'Neill stepped through...to another planet...called Abydos." Sam said.
They gave him odd looks. He was right all along...but how?
Joe Spencer just smiled and said "Does it seem so wacky now?"
