As always I own nothing…

Brennan didn't believe in psychology at all and Booth thought that Sweets was way too young to be a professional and always mocked him. Yet, they had to see him. They didn't have a choice. They entered his office and sat in silence. Sweets could feel the tension between them.

"So, how are you doing today?"

No answer. Seeley sighed and looked at his watch.

"Could you be louder?" she complained.

"I can feel some anger," Sweets said.

"Way to go, Sweets," Booth said because it was obvious.

"What happened?" Sweets asked, "Who wants to start?"

"You're dangerous, Bones," Seeley finally broke the silence.

"Will you stop being mad at me already! I didn't do it on purpose!"

"Can you please tell me what happened?" Sweets was lost.

Bones looked at Booth. Seeing that he wouldn't talk she started.

"I asked Booth for a gun, months ago, and finally got one but he already took it back," she explained.

"You almost shot me, Bones!"

"Almost," she repeated the key word, with considerable emphasis.

"I see," was all Sweets said, "That's a start. How did it happen?"

"We were following a suspect and Bones started shooting."

"Not my fault you were standing near him," she said.

"You almost hit me, Bones, don't you get it? You could have killed me!"

"You're still very much alive enough to get mad," she said and he gave her the 'don't you try a joke now' look, "I get it, Booth, you're upset."

"And I have the right to be! You almost put a hole in my skin!"

"You're both upset. It's time to express your anger in a good way," Sweets said.

"I want the gun back," she complained.

"Not even in your dreams!"

"Guys, please, I'm here to help, just let me."

"Don't you have some place to be, other people to mess around with?" Booth shot, annoyed.

"He's just doing his job," Bones tried to defend Sweets.

"Oh, so now you're defending him."

"Look, Booth, I'm sorry I almost shot you!"

Sweets nodded in approval. Apologizing was good. Seeley shrugged.

"You have so much rage inside you, Booth," Sweets started, "I'd like to understand where it comes from."

Why would I tell you my life story, you're just a kid, Booth thought.

"Rage isn't the only thing I get from you guys. You love each other, I know it, everybody knows it even though you won't see it."

Again, they looked at each other, confused.

"We're just partners," Booth said.

"We don't have those kind of feelings for each other," Brennan added.

It was Sweets' turn to sigh.

"Someday, hopefully you'll admit it to yourself."

"You're so annoying, Sweets," Bones said.

"Why are you getting angry at me?" he wondered aloud.

"You're safe, she doesn't have a gun," Booth joked.

"It's not funny," she said.

Then, Sweets - not quite ready to give up yet - remembered something. "Didn't you guys kiss?"

"It wasn't what you think," Bones said.

"I'd like to hear about it, the entire story," Sweets said as Booth's cell rang.

Booth picked up, "Okay, we're leaving right away."

"What's up?" Bones asked.

"Murder, bones found. We gotta go. Saved by the bell," Booth said smiling.

"Guys, you know we have to talk about that later, right?"

"Shut up, Sweets."

They left and Sweets sighed.

Those two are unbelievable, he thought.
