A/N: Some pretty pointless Kaka/Obi/Rin/Kaka fluff. Enjoy.

"When I die," Obito said suddenly, "I want to be buried next to Rin."

The medic-nin blushed and Kakashi watched appreciatively, the red slowly spreading from her nose down to merge with the red markings on her face. She smiled warmly at Obito, then quirked her lips into an unpracticed sneer as she leaned provocatively over at Kakashi. "Then I'll be buried between you two, ne?"

The masked chuunin tried to ignore the tingle that ran down his chest at her teasing stroke. Obito yanked Rin away playfully and adjusted his goggles, finally opting to take them off. He breathed in the night air, reveling in the warmth of the summer breeze. Team Minato stood in a clearing outside the training grounds, hidden, like their village, in the leaves. Faint rustles and chirps echoed through the clearing—sounds of night animals awaking. The Uchiha blinked rapidly as his vision grew misty.

"What are you crying about now?"

Obito scowled at Kakashi, who was now standing next to him, eyes trained on the tear that was forming in his teammate's right eye.

"I wasn't crying."

Rin smiled, the expression lost in the darkness but felt nonetheless by the boys alongside her. She cautiously caught Obito's tear on the tip of her finger, letting it roll down her skin until it was absorbed by the fabric of her shirt. Turning away once more, she whispered hoarsely, although the sound was loud as it cut through the comparative silence.

"Do you think about death?"

Kakashi's eyes flashed with an emotion as unreadable as ever, but Obito grinned. "Yeah, I do. Not really about how I'm going to die…but…what's going to happen. Like what my last thoughts will be."

"Thoughts don't matter once you're dead," Kakashi added softly. "The only things that matter are what you've left to the living."

Obito remained silent until Rin slipped an arm around his waist. "You'll leave a lot, Obito."

Kakashi punched his arm lightly. "Not like it'll be of any use." The masked boy stood contemplatively for a moment before settling his own muscled arm alongside Rin's, pulling Obito closer. The two of them shifted gradually closer together until Rin could easily rest her head on the nape of Obito's neck. The Uchiha sighed and bit back a yawn, his breath warm as it tingled on Kakashi's skin.

"It's late," the tallest of the three chuunin whispered. Rin opened her drowsy eyes in agreement. "We should head home…"

"It's warm tonight," Obito observed quietly. "And we've slept outside before."

In silent agreement, the three shinobi detached themselves from each other, Rin settling herself down economically, Obito flopping down and yelping as he hit the ground, and Kakashi descending gracefully. The kunoichi smiled again, noting how the moon's glow made Kakashi's hair blazing white and Obito's give off a barely visible blue sheen. The Uchiha turned his head away from where Rin lay, stretching out an arm that gently supported her as she placed her head upon his chest. Protectively, Kakashi lay against her, toes long enough to graze Obito's on the medic-nin's other side. He placed an arm on the curve of her waist, his hand upon her stomach, warmed by the summer wind and Obito's appendage, which lay in close proximity.

"We're going to be sore tomorrow." Rin muttered, in a sleepy daze, pointedly ignoring the exhausted laugh that came from Kakashi and the affectionate whisper of pervert from Obito.

"Kakashi? Rin?" Obito's slurred murmur went unacknowledged. "If they put a gravestone on us right now, I wouldn't mind."

He felt Rin's lips, which ghosted his neck, twitch into a smile. Kakashi's arm shifted just a tiny bit closer to his, and Obito yawned.

Past midnight, Namikaze Minato slowed his stroll as he came upon the clearing, smiling at the pale bodies of three sleeping teenagers bathed in moonlight.
