I saw you again today.

I was going through the day as usual.

And I suppressed the emotion that I knew would show so clearly on my face.

Thinking that my façade must seem so visible to everyone around me…that everyone could tell clearly what I was feeling.

Hoping that you would turn my way, would just look at me once…

You didn't meet my hopeful eyes.

            How pitiable you are…

And then you had rounded the corner. And you were gone.

You, who I thought about constantly. You, who filled every moment of my day, never giving me a moment's rest. You, whose eyes made me weaker, lowered the barriers around my heart that I had tried so hard to construct.
