An original "Jay-Jay the Jet Plane" story entitled "Orland's Visit" with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.

It was a sunny day in Terrytown, and all the airplanes were excited. Orland the jet plane was coming to visit Terrytown. He had come all the way from the North Peaks, not too far from Terrytown.
Inside the hanger, all the airplanes were chatting about Orland.
"This is exciting!" said Jay-Jay.
"Let's just hope nothing goes wrong." said Old Oscar.
Just then, a loud screech was heard. It was Orland! The airplanes cheered and went over to greet him.
But Orland didn't look happy at all. He was very cross.
"Why are you all cheering?" he boomed loudly.
"Because we're happy to see you." said Old Oscar.
Orland was even more crosser.
Just then, Easy O-Malley came to see what all the noise was.
"What is going on here?" he asked.
"Who are you?" groaned Orland to Easy O-Malley.
"I am Easy O-Malley, and I am in charge of all the airplanes in Terrytown. Now, if you want to stay here, you must show respect."
Orland was still cross, but he agreed to follow the rules. He then set off to take a rest.

It was dark when Orland woke up from his rest. He quietly went over to the sheds, and noticed that all the other airplanes were sound asleep.

Just then, Orland had a bright idea.

"I know how to impress those other airplanes!" he chuckled. "I'll take off quietly, then WHOOSH into the sky as loud as I can! Then, the other planes will wake up, and they'll tell me that I'm the world's greatest airplane!"

He took one last look to make sure everyone was asleep, and then, he quietly set off to the runway.

When he approached the runway, he slowed down for a few moments, and then he WHOOSHED into the sky very loudly at warp speed.

Orland was so excited!

But then, there was trouble. One of Orland's lights had gone out, and it made it very difficult to see.

"We better land before something happens." said the pilot.

Orland agreed, but what he didn't know was that they were heading straight for disaster! A tree was approaching!
"Watch out for that tree!" called the pilot. He applied the landing brakes, and turned Orland towards the airport, just in time!

When they arrived at the airport, Easy O'Malley was waiting. He was very cross.

"Airplanes are prohibited to fly at night unless told to do so. You have broken the rules."
"Sorry sir." said Orland sadly.

"And you should have landed as soon as your light blew out." continued Easy O'Malley.

Orland was sad, but he knew better to follow the rules. I hope that next time, Orland will follow the rules, and learn to be a proper jet engine.
