Chapter 1 "The Dream"
~For miles around, all that could be seen was a grassy meadow and a few trees. The sun above shone brightly down upon the vast meadow, in between the lazily drifting, snowy white clouds.
In the distance a faint sparkling could be seen. When you look closer, the sparkling becomes a shine caused by the reflection of the sun's rays across a pond's glassy surface. The pond was lovely and surrounded by large weeping willows, whose long branches stretched down to kiss the ground that supported them.
Laying on the bank, shadowed by one of the large trees, was a teenage girl and a cat. The girl laid on her back, staring up at the sky with bright blue eyes, and smiled as a soft breeze blew across the meadow and over the pond, ruffling the girl's short brown hair and causing small waves in the pond's crystal surface.
The large, gray and black striped tabby, which was lying down and staring at the girl with an inquisitive, yellow gaze, sat up and opened its mouth. "Quite a lovely day we're having, don't you think?" it spoke in a light female voice, that had a slight English accent to it, and then released a contented meow that sounded oddly like a sigh.
Looking over to the feline, with lazily half closed eyes, the girl replied, "Yep, it's absolutely wonderful! A few slight breezes, the sun shining through the broken clouds over the meadow, and this cute pond make this place seem like a dream come true."
The tabby cocked one of its ears to the side as though listening to something from far away. "Perhaps that is because this is a dream, your dream, to be more specific." It spoke again.
"WH-what?!?" The brunette girl stuttered, looking again at the cat with her confused blue eyes.
A sly and evil look crossed the cat's previously innocent face. "You heard me! This place is a figment of your imagination, and it is now time for you to wake up!" The tabby shouted as it reached a paw behind itself as though to grab something.
"B-but, I don't want to wake up!" The girl stumbled as she raised herself up onto her knees.
"Too bad and too late!" The cat said as it pulled a gun from behind its back.
The girl started to shout and the cat's claw pressed against the trigger...~
*BANG*
The curtains close…
I'm done with the first chapter. I don't quite know how this will look on here. However, I am also going to try and post this on Quizilla as well. I know the story might seem a little silly at first, but I'm still trying to work my way up to the…..well I can't really tell you what, so bear with me for now. I also want to say this now; I usually work on the story at school, so the updates might seem a little scattered, but I'm going to work on this story as much as possible since my friends are greatly encouraging me to try and write more. I also like reviews and constructive criticism, not flames. To me, someone who flames peoples' stories has a small ego and does it to put people down just to make them look bigger. Anyway, thank you for reading and I'll try to put out the next chapter as soon as possible!
