Letty's pov

I sat in Mia's bedroom as she talked about some guy she liked from school. I wasn't

listening though. My mind was on the guy outside working on his car. I had liked Dominic

Toretto since I moved to Los Angelos when I was ten. As he leaned over to look at something

in the back of the car his muscles rippled and I remembered the first time I saw him. My

new friend, Mia had invited me over to her house to spend the night. We were up in her room

playing when the door swung open and a guy, about fourteen walked into the room. He completely

ignored me and walked in. "Mia, dad said supper is read," He said as he glanced over at me

"Who's she?" "She's my new friend, Letty."

I was shaken from my thoughts when I heard Mia say my name. "Letty?" Mia asked as

I glanced over at her. "What?" I asked as she looked at me curiously before she repeated

what she was saying. "I was just asking if you were going to the races later," Mia repeated.

I looked over at her like she had lost her mind. Of course I was going. "Yeah. Aren't you?"

She pulled her brush through her hair and glanced out the window at her brother and his

friends. "Yeah." She said. I got up and looked out the window with Mia trying to figure out

what she saw out there that was so interesting. She was looking out the window with the same

look on her face that I had when I looked at Dom.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to know what was up. "Mia, what are you looking at?"

She jumped knowing she had been caught. I laughed and sat on the bed as she turned to look at me.

"Promise not to laugh?" "Okay. Just tell me what's up?" I asked as she glanced back out the

window. "It's Vince," She said as I tried not to laugh. I couldn't help it. I burst out

laughing and laid back on her bed. "Vince?" I asked as I tried to control my laughter. "Yes.

It's Vince. I like Vince," she said as she glared at me and crossed her hands over her chest.

I was finally able to stop laughing so I walked over to the window and looked down at Vince.

"I guess he's okay, but Mia, are you sure?" Mia threw a pillow at my head and laid back on

the bed. "Yeah I'm sure," she said as she pulled a pillow up over her face.
