Lessons in Destiny
While fighting against Destiny
I realized there was no point
Destiny is not something you can beat
Or that you can ignore
Fate is a destination
Destiny is your journey there
It's not someone's fate to change their destiny
Yet someone's destiny could be to change their fate
Destiny controls your actions
Your actions control your destiny
Destiny is not a straight course
Though it does lead you somewhere
Destiny was my lesson learned
The true, intangible feeling
Taught to me in the most ironic circumstance
By the most destiny-defying person
Destiny gives you freedom
Destiny gives you faith
Destiny gives you fear
Destiny gives you death
It is useless to fight against Destiny
More effective to work with it
Because it is something that is not breakable
But that we overcome everyday
Bound to Destiny
As are we all
And it will take me
Wherever it may
